Open Question: mrsa? could i still have it?
About 2 months ago i came up with 2 abcsesses on my stomach (the doctor said it was just a skin infection and treated it with antibiotics) they havent completely gone i've had 1 more come up on stomach since which i've just left and it seems to be going down. The problem is my partner had a red lump on her calf a couple of weeks ago which turned into a abscess, she had swabs and a few tests done, when they came back they were positive for mrsa. The thing is i had mrsa 2 years ago, had the treatment was given the all clear, is this all just bad luck or could i have still had it and pasted it on to my partner? any reply will be great. Thanks moreOpen Question: did the dentist mess my treatment up?
i had a filling come out last week which was quite pain full, i pushed the filling back in wich eased the pain a bit but was extremely pain full is touched by lower tooth or food or any hot or cold. i couldn't get an appointment with my dentist for another 5 days after a couple of days i went to the out of hours emergency out of hours dentist. i explained the problem to him the treatment he gave was to pull out the old filling and apply a new white filling over the caver tie he then covered the new filling with vaseline add told me not to eat or drink for 2 hours and off i went. the next day once the injection had worn off the tooth was a little pain full i put it down to all the poking around in it, but the pain got worse and worse by the end of the day it was unbearable constant pain.i struggled through the next day (sunday) with the level of pain that i never had in all my life. my dentist agreed to see my first thing monday morning, she asked my about the pain before and after the treatment and what treatment he gave my i could tell she was surprised at what the other dentist had but she would not actually say it when i asked if he had messed . as i result i have a massive infect in the root which she has given me anti bio tics for, once the infection has has gon i am faced with having the tooth removed or root canal followed by a crown. looking on various web sites i think he should never of resealed the tooth without checking for infection not even to take an xray. resualint in extream pain for days and alot of money to put it right. Q has any one else had this kind of thing happen? Qanyone know if it was just bad luck or was he negligent? ps, and to make it worse the receptionist charged my debit c ard £1650.00 instead of £16.50 which was refunded but sent me overdraw en in curing a £45 bank charge....Tankerbe... i agree that a good assesment can not be made without an xray, but as i said the dentist did not take an xray before refilling the tooth so in my mind that makes his treatment guess work. thanks for your answer moreVoting Question: Fungal infection help !! :( :(?

Thanks so Much :) And please try to give as much detail as possible :) moreResolved Question: Cat's paw looks cracked down the center?
My 6 year old male cat has been favoring one hind leg a bit. I noticed he has a relatively deep crack down the center of his largest paw pad (the one equivalent to the sole of a human foot). It doesn't seem like an open wound at all- more like a scar. There is no sign of infection on the paw. I cleaned it with antiseptic solution and applied an ointment and bandage (which he proceeded to lick off). How should I follow up with treatment? He had an awful case of bladder stones a few months back and he literally goes insane any time I say the word "vet". Thanks for your help! moreVoting Question: are people aware the "complications" of prostate cancer treatment are the same as pregnancy?
(people like Rowdy btw. Quoted below) " The complication rate of successful prostate cancer treatments (there are multiple treatment courses), which includes sterility (100%), inability to ever have an orgasm (100%), incontinence, impotence, loss of bowel control and, sometimes, removal of the testicles, is substantially worse than the complications of successful breast cancer treatments." Um.. not only are the complications the same as that of pregnanc/childbirth (pregnancy has worse, including things like developing diabetes...LOL? ..not so lol..) Anyway as I was saying.. women don't just share the complication risks of prostate surgery through pregnancy but it's also similar to the complications of the birth control IUD (for those who don't know it's basically metal inserted inside the woman, through the cervix into the uterus). Yes bowel and bladder perforation. Infection. Sterility. Death. Not only that, it has side effects when it is put in CORRECTLY and stays in place. Episiotomy?? Every woman has to go through childbirth. Those who GO OUT OF THEIR WAY to avoid it will most likely still end up needing an abortion (with also shares some of the same wonderful side effects..) BEFORE YOU SAY IT (women don't need to get pregnant...) those who DO NOT end up pregnant or having abortions will obviously need to be on birth control. My point? Side effects which include blood clots, heart attacks, strokes, migraines, you know DEATH etc. So basically just being a woman means you have to deal with this anyway at some point in your life. And most women WILL have to face it directly because most DO end up pregnant however most men DO NOT have to go through prostate cancer at some point. Not saying all people who give birth will end up fecally incontinent.. certianly not.. (but then not all men who have prostate cancer treatment will end up fecally incontinent). Just making a comparison. What do you think ?? Do you see?? AND before you mention it... they lose or are at risk of similar stuff through cervical cancer (it's just coincidence where the breasts are for this comparison of "which gender has the worst gender-cancer..") They are however... NOT at risk of losing their balls. In fact I think they may even gain some!?erm no. lol It's also fun to note that statistics say it's hard for women to even HAVE orgasms, let alone lose the ability to have them. I'm just making these comparisons to see how it goes down. I am not making any sort of point over BC, abortions etc. Just that pretty much ALL women will face these risks, not women who get a certain type of canceryeah but my point then would be pregnancy is something a woman has like zero control over. If you are born a (fertile) woman, then you WILL either end up pregnant, having an abortion, on hormonal birth control, getting and IUD or being abstinant forever. Unless you are the lucky one who can use either NFP or solely condoms and never have one break and never have to use Plan B. ;-) Also prostate cancer is not a given. It only happens to SOME men.yes I am. Are you not aware of what I'm trying to do here? I'm just comparing the side effects of a treatment that someone was complaining about, to something all women need to go through.if it's male cancer vs women cancer then women cancers "win" being the worst because they have various types of female cancer. One being the breasts, the other being cervical, then of course the ovaries and blah blah all the little things like clitoral , vulva etc. And what I'm saying is if you add on top of this, the fact that they have the whole childbirth thing too. Then if you are saying "woe is who" and one gender "has it worse" then it has to be males. Using the guy's own logic when he tried to prove a point about how much it sucked to be a man and have male cancer.or not ??OOPS LOL!! "Then if you are saying "woe is who" and one gender "has it worse" then it has to be FEmales." I meant to sayblue eyed this is not an abortion argument. You are wrong, and I'm not wasting my time explaining in deail why. For one thing, it doesn't MATTER if you believe in abortion. I said if women have sex then they are almost 100% guaranteed to get pregnant one day and if they do not wish to ever get pregnant they WILL , REGARDLESS of their wishes, NEED an abortion. If they don't believe in it, then they will have to give birth. MY POINT IS THEN PROVEN. Sorry. Try addressing the actual comparison I made instead of rambling your usual nonsense.it's no more of a pity party than the part I quoted, why can't you see my point? Try reading. If every woman who did not want to get pregnant or have an abortion abstained there would be like 20% of society having sex and probably an 80% rise in rapes. Obviously. The entire population of women could not just choose to not have sex. Have you also heard of rape? Do you think rape should be an exception? I don't. If it's murder it's still murder. (I am pro choice btw)DOES anyone agree that the complications are the same or very similar, or do you not ? Answer my question pleasethe word "AND..." the degree of the split. what happened to the other answers?--- Yeah but he was lying/exaggerating for one thing. What does 100% even mean? 100% what? Not 100% of men treated for prostate cancer. He is putting across the idea that men basically have to get their whole thing chopped off and they can't use it for anything afterwards. Men can be treated for prostate cancer with barely any side effects so what exactly does he mean when he says 100% (which is bull) ? Just as pregnancy CAN make you infertile or rip your bowels, just as prostate cancer treatment CAN cause all he listed, it doesn't ALWAYS... so saying that pregnancy is usually fine is not really a good answer because I never said that every woman who gets pregnant will get X Y Z. I specifically said she was AT RISK. Just as someone with prostate cancer is at risk. I don't even know what he means by loss of bowel control but I am assuming it is the same reason as with something as in women.. the bowel is damaged by accident which is not a side effect of getting it,it's a mistake/ 1 in whatever risk (of surgery presumably) Side effect means something that happens due to the necessary treatment. Such as sugery on the breast can cause side effects such as inability to produce milk/ breast feed, but the chance of them puncturing her lung is not a side effect of breast cancer treatment!! It's a RISK! I'm only comparing it because HE compared it (female cancer) to (male) cancer so I simply pointed out that a woman does not even need to have cancer to be at risk of many of the things he listed. She simply has to be a woman. Why would a man who's had radiotherapy/ cancer removed from his prostate have fecal incontinance like that guy implied? He simply would not. http://www.mayoclinic.com/health/cancer-treatment/SA00070/NSECTIONGROUP=2 http://www.macmillan.org.uk/Cancerinformation/Cancertypes/Prostate/Livingwithprostatecancer/Sideeffects.aspx Those sites specify that loss of libido etc doesn't always happen after male cancer. moreResolved Question: Root canal treatment five years ago and still sore......?
Is it normal to still experience pain every now and again from a tooth which has had root canal treatment five years ago? It feels a bit loose and i get a sharp pain if i put my tongue against it and push it :o( Thanks x moreResolved Question: Do white spots on my fish DEFINITELY indicate a disease?
My tank got an infection of white spot before, about two months back, which killed several of my fish despite using the treatment. I was horridied to notice a couple of white spots on the tails of a couple of my neon tetras today. I don't understand how they could have got it, as I haven't had new fish in a while now... But anyway, should I put the treatment in now, or wait to see what happens? Before when they had white spot, they acted very ill, but there's nothing wrong with their behaviour currently... What should I do?Oh no... I don't know what to do now. Are you sure it isn't the treatable ich? Not all of them have it yet, so I suppose that as unpleasant as it is, I would have to euthanase the infected ones to prevent it spreading... But I don't want to do that if it's ich rather than tetra disease! What makes you think it's Neon Tetra Disease rather than White Spot Syndrome? In a list of the symptons of NTD, there are no white spots mentioned, and they don't have any other symptons - certainly nothing that would suggest NTD. Anyway, to be safe I've removed all but two neon tetras from my tank (the other two didn't have white spots) and placed them in a small tank for quaranteen. I've also added the White Spot Syndrome treatment, which I hope will work. Unfortunately, I only have one heater, so I'm going to have to swap it between the two tanks to keep all my fish warm enough. Does anyone have any further recommendations? moreVoting Question: Recurrent vaginal infection or just not cleared up?
Hi, I have been prescribed flucloxacillin 500mg caps for a vaginal infection, ive to take 1 cap 4 times daily for 7 days. Could you please advise me as to whether this is an effective form of treatment as in the past month I have been treated with clomitrazole vaginal tablets twice, canisten cream and another anti fungal drug which I had to take 4 tablets all at the same time although I cannot remember the name of it. My symptoms consist of greeny/yellow lump discharge with a slight foul smell and excess discharge. although I did have burning and severe itching this has now subsided. I am also pregnant so dont know exactly if my doctors is giving me the right treatment as the symptoms still havent cleared up. moreVoting Question: Should I be worried about my dog?
I have a 4 yr old Scottish terrier. Lately he has become quite withdrawn and seems a little sad. Normally he is quite alert and on guard all the time but at the moment he just seems to be sleeping all day and night. We recently took him to the vets and he got treatment for fleas and also got antibiotics cos they think he might have a urine infection (which I don't think he has).Anyway I am concerned about his change in behaviour. I am due to give birth to my first baby in a few weeks and was wondering if this could be something to do with it. Any help or advice welcome. moreResolved Question: is there a quick treatment for cystitis?

I woke up about 4 days ago with a swollen gum at the left side of my mouth. I thought nothing of it because it gave me no pain and still don't. But this morning when i brushed my teeth i thought to brush the gum where it is swollen. Then a yellow/light green substance started coming out my gum. I guessed my gum is infected so carried on brushing it to get all the crap out. Ive brushed it twice now and the substance keeps coming out but the gum is still swollen the same way before i even started trying to get all the crap out. What and how serious is the problem? Should i be booking a dentist appointment immediately as in an emergency! Or book an appointment for in the week and use treatments while i wait? My son ate a cookie from Tesco and it had a metal ball in it which he bit down on and as a result he cracked his tooth and as a result had it filled which didn't help, so he had to have root canal treatment, that didn't work so he had to have the tooth removed once an infection had cleared up. He was in a lot of pain and is now not very keen on going to the dentist. He's 15 years old. Does anyone think it would be worth pursuing Tesco for compensation?Yes, I do have evidence and I have given it to Tesco along with the receipt and the packaging. They have offered a "good will gesture" of £25 and I think that's an insult when I consider what he went through. It hasn't been weeks or months. Tesco received the evidence when we found the metal ball as we wanted to make sure they recalled all the other cookies. Over the course of a weekend my cats eyes went from a slight pink to red, swollen and scabbed. I took him to the vet who diagnosed him with hay fever, she has given him eye drops for the scabbing and swelling which has been caused by him scratching his itchy eyes. There were no ulcers on his eyes but she still prescribed antibiotics to ensure there is no infection. She did not prescribe anything for his hay fever as she said I should complete the course of medication she has given first. She advised I could get hay fever medication over the counter or go back to her for a steroid prescription. I had assumed she meant I could buy over the counter at a pet shop but when i went there the staff couldn't help. I have 4 days of his prescription left and had hoped to buy his hay fever treatment in so I can start him on it straight away. The pet shop is just around the corner but my vets is miles away (and they do not answer questions over the phone since the calls are answered by a receptionist not a vet). As I don't drive and my cat gets upset on public transport I had hoped I could look for advice here. However if no one can help obviously I shall make the lengthy journey to the vet again. I know people can be mean/ sarcastic with their answers so I shall also point out the vets I attend do not give out any prescriptions without the pet being seen. Unless of course it is a repeat prescription for a long standing illness. Therefore there is no escaping taking my cat on the long journey to the vet and it is not simply laziness on my part. I shall also point out there is one vet which is closer to my home, however he is not as good or as trustworthy in his diagnoses - hence reason I have to travel so far. I would be grateful if anyone knows of the over counter treatment my vet meant. Thanks poodle power however I had tried that,. I do realise that most places have receptionists but would call you back..... However my vet is a "visiting" vet. She travels throughout our region visiting small "practices" which are only open for few hours each day on a first come first serve basis. Hence she is not available in the office when you call and cannot make call backs as then she would spend all her time doing call backs rather than visiting and helping hard to reach areas where it is not possible to open a full time vets. moreResolved Question: Mri and incidental findings.?
So i had an MRI scan Hi there. I have been suffering from headaches. (very intense) for approx 8 months now. My neurologist thought it was occipital neuralgia. And ever since have been having nerve blocks monthly into my scalp. And am taking 70mg of Amitryptiline at night every night. However the pain is some what continual every day. So i had an MRI 3 weeks ago. The results showed nothing sinister. (I rang and spoke to a receptionist for the results) However there was an INCIDENTAL finding of sinus pressure.. I think i have a deviated septum. When looking up my nose one of the openings is pretty much nearly shut. And i have always sensed breathing was hard on that side. But thought nothing of it. I do not have runny nose etc just headache/pressure So what i am trying to find out is. What exactly does incidental findings of sinus pressure mean? Does this mean there is an infection? The receptionist said. If you have no runny nose etc to just disregard the findings. And i'd not need treatment unless i have the common symptoms. Ie runny nose.. Blah blah blah..I went to a neurologist.. For the headaches. And they are the one's who indedentaly found the "sinus pressure" What i want to know is.. Does this mean i have a sinus infection?? They seem to think its not important.. moreResolved Question: Mri, And incidental findings?

I was recently tested positive for chlamydia after going to my dr. for extreme itching and burning with major discharge. I took the treatment that the dr gave me wich was a one time dose of an antibiotic and desperatly waited for the symtoms to go away. There was a three week wait to be retested and in that three weeks I continued to itch sometimes so bad I would scratch myself till I bled, so I just knew the infection was still there. Upon returning to the dr. for my three week recheck I was shocked by the test results the chlamydia was gone, so I started questioning the dr why am I still having problems I was tested for Trichamonis and yeast and did not have those either. I am still having issues and it has been over a month since my original treatment. My dr just tells me that I have an over abundance of white blood cells and that it must be my normal body chemistry......Is the chlamydia really gone should I trust the test results? Scared to ever have sex again and wish the itching and clear discharge would go away moreResolved Question: What is the ...cause and what treatment?
I am very careful with my personal hygiene yet I still get this irritating rash that develops into crusty spots under my breasts. I use a tropical creme and dry my self but it still occurs daily. I'm so embarrassed. My doctor does not seem to think it is a problem...he doesn't have to put up with it. I think it is an infection that I caught when having my three yearly mammogram check up though I cannot prove this of course moreResolved Question: My Cat's Urine Infection and Vaccinations? Advice Please?
Hello, 2 questions for you. 1. In the last 24hrs my cat seems to be having trouble weeing. He's been running to the litter tray every 20 minutes or so but nothing seems to be coming out. He's been pooing fine and drinking water as normal. He also washes himself a lot after he attempts to use the tray. I'm guessing that he has a urine infection? I will take him to the vets tomorrow if the problem continues but I'm wondering if anyone has had similar problems with their cats and what treatment they had to go through. Also, can anyone suggest anything that might help in the mean time? 2. My cats are nearly 2 years old and have had access to a ground floor garden for the first time in the last few weeks. Before, I lived in a first floor flat with a big terrace but no access to the 'wild'. Now, I know vaccinations are a big deal in America but my parents (cat owners all their lives) have never had any of their cats vaccinated and they have ALL lived to very healthy ages. In fact, most people I know haven't given their cats vaccinations and they seem to be healthy and happy. It is only recently (in my experience) that vets have started telling me that the cats will need shots if they go outside. This makes me wonder if it's just an over-the-top money making scheme. What do you guys think? Have any of you not given your cats shots and regretted it? I don't want to be irresponsible but I'm just not convinced that it's necessary. P.S. If anyone is planning on telling me that cats shouldn't be outside then don't bother because you are WRONG! moreResolved Question: molliscum (sp) and pregnancy?
My son has 12 spots, 2 in his hair, 1 on his leg and the rest on the right hand side of his back. I have just been to the doctors who said it could be chicken pox or molliscum virus (not sure of spelling) i am 11 weeks pregnant and was told if it was chicken pox i would be fine (but they took bloods to check my immunity anyway) but if it was molliscum there was a small chance it could cause a miscarriage. i have looked on the net for more information but all the websites i have looked at have said it is a skin infection and would not effect the pregnancy in anyway. have i got it confused with something else (esp as it is also referred to as genital warts) the spots themselves are small raised with samll heads and a small indent in the middle. nothing like warts but also dont look blistered enough to me to be chicken pox! im getting very confused. I know no one can tell me what he has for sure over the net but any previous exp of either the pox or the molliscum virus whilst pregnant would be gratefully recieved. (hubby is away for a long time so i have to do everything i dont live near family or friends) we have been trying for a baby for nearly 3 years and had fertlity treatment to get pregnant i would hate to lose this longed for baby! thank you inadvancecant wait .. thanks for the answer, nothing on the internet seemed concerned and the nurse jsut told me if he has no more spots in the next few days he can go back to pre school on monday as its prob this virus. it just seemed strange she was concerned about miscarriage when i cant find anything to support her concerns!baileys mum, the internet has eased my mind more than the nurse, it was her who mentioned miscarriage but the net hasn't. i just wondered if i was missing something! moreResolved Question: Sick hen, infected scabs, bright green smelly pooh.....please please help!?
Hi, wonder if anyone can help us?? We have a 7 month old Sussex Pullet who is sick! About 6 weeks ago she seemed to start going lame and looking uncomfortable when she was walking. This slowly progressed to her not wanting to walk at all. We also noticed she was very dirty around the vent which does happen with her as she is VERY fluffy and has loads of under belly feathers. We usually catch her and wash her off which is what we did this time. On picking her up this time we noticed a horrible smell which smelled like an infection. On washing her off we noticed a large amount of thick scabs on the top of her legs and under her belly which we soaked off in the water and removed. The skin under the scabs was infected, red and very sore. On placing her back in the garden she was attacked by the other hens which left her bleeding and with some nasty wounds. We quickly separated her and have been treating her with TLC. we have used "Frontline" flea and lice treatment as directed by a friend, on all the chickens, cleared out the hen house and used lice / mite powder on all surfaces and Jeyes fluid on all floors etc. However, although the wounds have appeared to heal she remains unhappy walking and uses her wings to balance when we encourage her outside for gentle supervised exercise. She is eating and drinking small amounts and seems happy enough in the box but doesn't seem to be making a massive recovery. Today, i let her out and noticed some smaller scabs on the base of the feathers on her back which easily fall off, taking the feather with them and leaving a sore leison. I had not noticed them before but her whole body seems to have scabby areas. She also has a fowl smelling, bright green diarrhoea which only comes out when she trys to run. There is never any pooh in her bedding. She doesn't smell infected anymore and is looking generally a bit brighter but we nor anyone we have spoken to has any idea what is wrong with her. She is a pet and we are not worried about meat / eggs as she is hopefully her for the long run to live a happy life with the others, however i am wondering if she will ever get better?? Any help greatly appreciated. Thank you so much.Hi, thanks for the info. I live in the UK so i doubt there are any deadly spiders! At least i hope there are not!!! Sorry should have mentioned where i was. moreResolved Question: ringworm in cats??? i need info from anyone how has this problem before?

My 7 month old son has been suffering with eczema since he was 6weeks old. It was prominent on his forehead, hands and tummy. He was originally prescribed E45 cream and a hydro cortisone. He had an reaction to the E45 cream, which resulted in his hands blistering and becoming infected; I was advised by another parent that a lot of eczema suffers can be allergic to lanolin which is a component of E45 cream. I went back to the GP who antibioticss for the infection and (at my request) prescribed diprobase cream. The diprobase has really helped with his dry skin and since I have reduced his dairy intake (changing his milk) his tummy has cleared. His hands and forehead are my main concern, they just do not seem to improve at all. I hope the spring would help with increased sunlight repairing the skin but no. He is now starting to rub his hands and I am concerned that this will make things worse. Now that I am weaning him I am keen to see a dermatologistt to see if diet may help the condition; but also to get some advise on management of eczema because all my GP does is prescribe creams to deal with the symptoms and isn't really interested in dealing with the cause! Can I tell my GP that after 6 months of treatment and no improvement that I want to be referred? Do I have the right to request that? moreResolved Question: help, 3 year bladder problems?

About 4 weeks ago I was released from hospital and I noticed a very painful sensation when I masterbated. Well that pain was down to all the anti-biotics i was taking. I had it checked out and I somehow managed to have thrush, which I didn't realise men could get! Well during that examination I was told my testicle sack was very dry, and was prescribed some Doublebase cream, which I apply 3 times/daily. This cream is a extra strong moisturiser and should clear this up. Well this hasn't worked and over the past week, I have noticed a rash on the inside of my groin (right at the top by my penis) on both sides, which is very itchy and red. Also my testicle sack is unbelievably itchy! The testicle sack also includes the "no mans land" between my testes and my anus". I have been searching long and hard over the internet to find a dyagnosis for this and the only one that seems to cover every symptom I have is something called Jocks Itch. Jocks Itch is some sort of fungul infection treated by a fungul antiseptic cream, well I have been prescribed cream for thrush which is called Clotrimazole cream, which is a anti-fungul skibn treatment. I know it sounds like I've answered my own question here but im 18 years old and would really like a second opinion before talking it over with my parents, and maybe having another examination! I had a lower back tooth root filled and a gold crown fitted when I was 24 (I’m now 43). I never had any problems with it at all, until about 12 months ago. During a check-up, my dentist said because my gums had receded, there was a small hole/gap at the bottom corner of the crown. This he tried to fill. A couple of months later, I noticed my gum was swollen and I was getting a nasty taste and smell in my mouth. Because I had moved, I had to register with a new dentist. He done an X-Ray and confirmed that I did have an infection under the crown. I asked if he thought I would loose the tooth and he said he didn't think so, giving me the impression the problem wasn’t too serious. He said all it needed, was for me to insert a ‘Te-Pe’ brush through the small gap on the gum line, to clean out under the crown every day. He showed me how to do this and he didn’t even give me any antibiotics. Although I followed the dentists advice for about 3 months, I didn’t ever seem to completely get rid of the infection. Even when it appeared better for a few days, it would come back. I went for another check-up this week and had to see a different dentist, as the first had left. I explained to her that I was still having problems with the crown infection. She didn’t really seem to examine it, apart from just tapping it. No X-Ray this time or anything. She then read my notes that the first dentist had written, saying that I had an abscess and concluded that the tooth would have to be extracted. I was really surprised by this, because it seemed to contradict what the first dentist had told me. I asked if the gap/hole could be further filled, or sealed, or if a new crown could be fitted. She repeated that the only treatment was extraction. I asked for some antibiotics, but she said they wouldn’t help, because the infection would return. I came away feeling very confused and said I would like have a think, before having it removed. I don’t want to loose the tooth if there is any way it can be saved. Just not sure what to do for the best. I’m sorry this is such a long question. I guess what I am really asking is, given that the tooth has previously been root filled, are there any techniques available that could still allow it to be saved? Or is extraction the only option? Does it sound like I have been given poor advice/care? And how could the advice be so contradictory? Also, would I be better to find another dentist, or go back to the one who did the original filling before I moved? Many Thanks, any advice very gratefully received. moreResolved Question: My 2 year old toddler seems to have an eyelash growing on the inside of his eyelid?
My 2 year old toddler seems to have an eyelash growing on the inside of his eyelid? Last night, whilst putting my son to bed, I noticed an eyelash in his eye that I had spotted a few times previously but thought nothing off. Upon closer inspection this eyelash seems to be growing from a follicule out of line with the others and basically grows into my sons eye. He has been prone to a number of eye infections and now I am wondering how long this eyelash has been there and if this is the cause of his problems. He has seen a number of hospital opthalmologists and on a recent holiday to Brazil we got a second opinion. We have always been fobbed off with eye drops and the eyelash never noticed. I shall be booking a GP appointment first thing tomorrow morning, but I don't know how serious this is, and how much discomfort my son is in. Alhtough he doesnt show much discomfort I am worried that he is just used to having this foreign object in his eye now and I cant believe I havn't spotted it before. I dont know the severity of the problem and whether I should be trying to push this through for treatment in the next few days, or should I just accept that there could be a waiting list for this type of thing to be sorted.
