Resolved Question: How do I get over he death my childhood dog?
We got Biscuit (who was a chocolate lab) in 1996 when I was 6 years old, me and my dad who is a vet, saw her litter inside the womb and I chose her on the day she was born. I cant remember a time where she wasn't in my life, on the 26th of January this year, she developed pancreatitis and my father had to put her down. She was far more than just a pet to me, I grew up with her, she was like my sister and I loved her more than anything. Its been 4 months know and I still utterly devastated, its like there is a hole in my heart, I cry whenever I think about her. I know that she loved me as much as I loved her and she wouldn't want me to cry, but I just feel so much pain I cant help it. How can I stop these feelings, I can't bear it anymore. (getting another dog isn't possible, my father doesn't want to get another pet, and I am of to university in 3 months)My dog was cremated and Eliza that was totally unnecessary. moreResolved Question: What is wrong with my dog? Hi My Weimaraner has been sick on and off for a month, He has been on anti sickness tablets and antibiotics but he is still having days when he is sick. The vet has x-rayed him and had a camera down his throat but can't find anything suspicious. He is 11 months old. Does anyone have any idea of what might be wrong? He has had numerous blood tests but all have come back negative. I have just got my fur-kid back after 5 days in teh vets with Acute Pancreatitis. She is on a special w/d prescription diet. I have read up on this and have had advice from teh vets that she can have meals based on Rice Pasta White fish, chicken and cooked vegetables. I intend to make these up and freeze them!
