Open Question: Verbally abusive Doctor?
I have had chronic pain for nearly 10 years. I had gone to numerous Doctors and had no relief. Then I found this great specialist, and he did aggressive treatment and improved my pain by about 75%. I was so much better, he also prescribed a low dose pain medication that worked wonders. No break through pain, I even was able to go off of disability and back to work. For the past two years, I went to this Specialist and kept improving. Well, I had to move 250 miles away from this Specialist. He referred me to a Specialist who works in the same branch or chain as him. This Doctor is 100 miles away. I moved to a rural area. I went to my first appointment, and I was caught off guard by this Doctors mannerism. He walked into the room and I said Hello, and he just said I don't prescribe that pain medication you have been taking.Do you know how many deaths have happened last year, due to that medication? I shook my head stunned.I said I have never abused my medication. He blurts out, well its some how leaking into the wrong hands. I said I don't give my medication to anyone. He then goes you failed! I said failed what? he gave me a drug test before he saw me, I said I dont use illegal drugs, he goes no..you failed and he named some anti seizure medication and sat there. I said what are you talking about? he goes did you take that medication for depression and pain? now Im really boggled and said no...he then said why not? I said I never heard of that, I take a anti depressant prescribed by a Psycholigist, and getting the right med and dose took a long time but it did wonders. He says well I want to switch it. I said I really want to, leave the psycriatic medication decisions to the Psycholigist I see. He said I want you to get a MRI and a EKG and come back in a week. I said look I have a 100 mile drive and its the hoilday weekend could I make it in two weeks? he says well I am only giving you two weeks of pain medication at a time. My other Doctor gave me two months at a time. He just said no real curt. So I go home get these tests done and call to schdule my follow up, and the nurse said they cant get me in for 3 weeks. I said I only have medication for 2 weeks. She just said rudely thats all I have. I explained I cant just suddenly stop taking this medication it causes severe withdrawls. I wont even be able to go to work. She said thats all I can do. I cant believe the way this place judged and treated me, with no reasoning.I have never given this Doctor or Staff any reason to degrade and talk to me like that. If I was diabetic would they make me go a week without my medication because thats the only time they have? I dont know what to do? I need this treatment and medication to have a quality life and work. Why can a Doctor for no cause just turn my life upside down? is there anything I can do? moreOpen Question: Question about Universal Healthcare?
Overall it seems like a good idea but it would still be a beneficial to make people pay out of pocket for perscription drugs they consume in and out patient medical treatment. This would prevent problems such as drug rationings and waiting lines like there has been in other countries. Many people argue that this wouldnt happen in the US cause we have far more drug suppliers and doctors than other industrialized nations. Even so, it will still sap incentives to live healthy if healthcare is completely free. If patients are required to pay for something they wont visit the doctor everytime they stub there toe. I take every step possible to stay healthy and avoid taking medicine even such as advil and i very seldom visit the doctor. My question is can you name any countries with universal healthcare that still require patients to pay for the perscription drugs they consume? And if so, can you specify if the country requires them to pay for the perscription drugs they consume inside of the hospital too? I would most appreciate answers that pertain to the questions. If you would like to make additional comments in the midst of answering them, thats cool. Looking forward to ending my anticipation of this answer as i appreciate anyone who has something useful to say. I got into a car accident quite some time ago and since then I have been getting horrible migraines for about 2 years, at least 3 times a weak. So i have been taking a lot of advil and tylenol and also for the past 6 months i have gotten menstrual cramps that have been extremely horrible, I find myself bed ridden for almost 3 of the 6days i have had it for. For my past 2 periods I was taking tylenol #2 (left over from a wisdom tooth removal) my sisters have been telling me that is not good but i find that is the only medication that is effective. I have tried advil , advil extra strength (liqiud gel) , aspirin, tylenol & tylenol extra strength , tylenol #2, midol etc. nothing seems to work. I went to a walk-in clinic and the doctor prescribed me some medicine it wasn't birth control but a stronger prescribed drug for cramps.. that did not work. I followed the guidelines of eating before the medication but my pain was still severe. I am a student and missing 3 days of school is not good. Also, over the past couple of months my weight has decreased by maybe 5-10 pounds i find that i dont have an appetite and when i do eat i never feel full anymore. I am going to see a specialist and my family doctor again for treatment for my headaches and menstrual cramps but sometimes i feel like she doesn't know what she's doing, I am looking for another family physician. Do any of you have any suggestions as to what might work or better for: 1.migraines 2.menstrual cramps 3.odd stomach aches 4.& weight loss Or if any of you recognize some of my symptoms please let me now what you think so i can ask my doctor about them when i go in for my appointment Thanks. moreOpen Question: What are some good at-home deep conditioners for hair?

I am looking forward to this experience of professional growth and development. It is difficult for me to believe that I have made it this far on my educational journey. There were times when I planned on giving up. However, the children that I teach, mentor and counsel serve as encouraged to keep moving forward towards this educational pursuit and goal. I've been depressed for three years now. Last year I broke down. I was in a hospital three times and I was on meds. The problem was I was on meds and getting no therapy. I thought that the treatment wasn't working out so I weened off the medication. Now, here I am a year later - just as depressed as before. I still self harm and I don't have any motivation to do anything with myself. I think about killing myself every night. Now it's even worse because I graduated high school in June and now I'm going to community college. I feel like I'm just going to community college because I feel obligated to, not because I truly want to. My college doesn't even offer any programs I'm interested in...so that just adds even more to how hopeless I feel. There's such a lack of direction in my life right now. The problem is my parents don't have health insurance. I told my mom yesterday I was depressed again and she told me therapy wouldn't help. She told me just to talk to her about my problems. But I don't think she can help me. I'm still trying to resolve my issues I've had in the past - I've been sexually abused (called the cops last year, there was nothing they could do so they dropped my case), physically abused (I remember a time my dad and I got in a fight and he drug me across the kitchen floor by my hair and threw me into the kitchen cabinet....that's just one time and one person), and I've suffered from an eating disorder and emetophobia. All this among other things (panic attacks, high levels of stress, misophonia, there's so much I just can't list here). I also have endometriosis but I can't get treatment for it because we don't have health insurance. I know these problems are too much for me to handle alone. I really do need help. I feel hopeless. Last year I watched both my parents battle a drug addiction. Before my mom went to rehab, I was considering killing myself. I told my dad I needed to get help right away, but he told me to stop stressing my mom out. Ever since then, I have a hard time opening up to my friends. I can only let things out every once in a while on the internet. I'm scared to open up to my family and friends because I fear they will all think I'm whining or I'm an attention seeker. So...what can I do? My parents make too much money for me to apply for any kind of reduced health care (they make around 150k a year). I'm going to be 18 in October, so I would just go out and try to find a job that would provide me with some sort of health benefits but I don't think I'm in a position to be able to work. Is there anyway I can get help if I still depend on my parents but they won't pay for any help? The thing that hurts me the most is that my dad will shell out 150-300 dollars for a bottle of pills (he relapsed a few months ago) but my problems aren't nearly as important as his. It just makes me feel so worthless and unimportant. moreOpen Question: what is the generic name of atepros?

A blogger on this forum asking very similar questions to one banned 2 years ago and with a similar writing style is very scathing of non US trained Osteopaths. His /her/ it's main gripe seems to be that we are not medical doctors and that some of us practice cranial techniques. Why do we have to be Medical Doctors? If we want to practice the manual therapy would being doctors make us better at doing that? Lets apply this across the board should a physiotherapist be a Doctor? How about an optometrist? What about a paediatric nurse? A psychologist? All these professions practice what they do safely without anyone demanding they retrain and go to med school. So why the double standard for Osteopaths? We have extensive training in A&P, pathology, case history taking, clinical testing, Ortho-testing, neuro testing and Osteopathic examination. We are capable of assessing whether or not a patient is suitable for treatment and refer through the medical system if needed. Unless we want to prescribe drugs or do surgery why not just leave things as they are? In regards to cranial, there are more American trained osteopaths practicing this in the US than anywhere else in the world so being a doctor doesn't stop it being practiced. If a treatment modality is to stand in suet stamping feet up and down turning clockwise chanting thanks to God for giving us cows, so what? If its practiced safely, the patient is fit for it and happy to participate whats the problem? There is no gentler treatment I know of than cranial treatment. As long as suitability for treatment and the health of that individual can be assessed properly whats the problem?I think the problem is someone is trying to discredit what I do, my training and my not inconsiderable skill out of spite and jealousy.Massage therapists who do CST are not qualified diagnosticians, regulated non US trained Osteopaths are. There may not be a difference in technique application but there is quite a difference in ability to establish suitability to treat. moreResolved Question: the ONLY soloution after yaers of therapy and other treatments ?
I have had bdd for 4+ years now and I am 19, I tryed cbt and talking therapy and I have been on An SSRI drug for almost three months now it helps a liitle but not with the bdd. the cbt made me want to kill myself tbh i felt even lower than what I did. talking therapy wasn't to bad but wasn't really a soloution more of an outlet. It says : In extreme cases patients are referred for surgery as this is seen as the only solution after years of other treatments and therapy. (those with bdd) I HATE my eyes (colour/and in general) The only thing that has helped me is colour contacts, but I have only been able to find them in 1 brand (that look ok) i am terrified that they will discontinue and i am left with my worst outcome taking my own life. I have talked to people over the past 2 weeks and said how I feel they advised me to be totally honest with my doctor and just ask and ask for what is going to solve this. This is finding an ocularist/optometrist who specalise in eyes, trauma patients (scars/cancer) and fit prosthetics or colour shells to restore the patients psychological wellbeing. this would restore my wellbeing and enable me to have a life. The only way I can describe it is like someone who has gender dysphoria they don't need therapy to change/reverse their mind they need a physical change to be who they wish to be as they can't live with the sex they are. this is how I feel about my eyes, forcing me to like something I hate will only damage me more. how do i explain to my gp, what should i start off by saying :/ ? moreOpen Question: The benefit summary of an HMO policy from Secure Horizon states that out of pocket is $1800.00 and it is also?

If patient has 20% coinsurance for outpatient dialysis, then, the 20% coinsurance for drugs used in treatment e.g. Q4081 (Epogen) will be applicable toward the out of pocket? Hello! So recently I was prescribed Clonazepam for my panic attacks that I have been experiencing and for my depersonalization (so i can get through counseling and overall end my depersonalization [or at least control it]). It it a short term thing, and I will only be taking it for maybe another week (only been on it for 4 days or so). So far it has really helped my anxiety a lot and when I get an episode of depersonalization I don't have an anxiety attack (YAYYY!). My question is: I recently played a football game, and was on Clonazepam, and it really affected my playing ability (kind of off balance, weak body). I was wondering if i will get used to this drug In time for my next game (Thursday September the 9th). I know that it's an addicting drug and whatever and don't worry i am not abusing it (as a matter of fact my parents are hiding it from me lol!) Thank you for the help, and if you have any information on Clonazepam and the treatment of depersonalization/developmental trauma please post, THANKS! moreOpen Question: An informative ANSWER to why people do drugs, feel free to comment?
Why do people do drugs? Is it because they're losers? Is it because they hate themselves? Do they want to look cool? The answers are almost endless. I'll tell you why I did drugs. I'm a 17 year old kid, I haven't had a girlfriend since 6th grade, my mom is an alcoholic and my parents don't love each other. People do drugs because they're depressed just like I am right now. Depression is proof that we are living in a society unfit for our needs. Tons of people are depressed but people like me who cannot seem to get any sort of treatment, we look to the closest solution, dope. So let me clarify to you 12 year old kids. Stupid people don't do drugs, well maybe a couple stupid people do but depressed people do drugs. That's the truth it. I'm sorry to say. Prozac, Valium, Zoloft. They are all drugs.Nev er, you don't even understand. You're probably so privileged to the point where you'd never understand. Life sucks and our society doesn't make it any better. It's not about being weak or stupid, it's because we're all depressed and sick and tired of people like you. Mr. Alpha Male wanna be bullshit. moreResolved Question: Should I get a port? (chemotherapy)?
I was diagnosed with stage IV follicular lymphoma in December of 2008 and have now progressed to a point where I am going to start treatment. This will involve IV administration of drugs and will require up to 16 infusions over 8 months (2 days every 4 weeks for 6-8 cycles). My veins suck. I've been a lifelong blood donor and all the normal access points are full of scar tissue. Also, my veins are tiny. The IV for the contrast stain for the twice-yearly CT scans I've been receiving has been a nightmare. I'm actually more stressed about the IVs than the chemo. Is it worth getting a port inserted to avoid another 12-16 IVs? Or am I making my life needlessly complicated? My doctor says that the needle can be left in overnight (meaning that for each 2 days I will only need 1 injection) but when my daughter was born I couldn't even stand having the thing in for 8 hours and made them take it out ahead of protocol. moreOpen Question: What is the duration of prophylactic treatment of migrain (repeat with more info)?

I hate the fact that many people have enjoyed going through high school with awesome hip hop music, but lately it sucks for me since I'm from a younger generation of untalented loads off rappers who think skinny jeans are amazing, vans look cool, glasses, petite t-shirts are cool, and skateboards are cool and it gives them swag?? I hate how these rappers are giving hip hop such a stupid name nowadays, I loved the Hip hop that I would listen to to hear about stories of the life and struggles of people in the hood, and the stories of success coming out of the hood, drugs, violence and drinking. I mean I loved how it was inspirational at times because it helped me get up and stop feeling bad for my life, when theres people living out there in worse conditions than me. I miss Method Man, Nas, 2Pac, Slick Rick, Eminem, what happened to those guys and their music about struggles and life stories? Even clothing changed in hip hop, before it was baggy Phat Farm,Rocawear, or just any brand of baggy jeans, with a plain baggy white t-shirt and a fitted cap or a baseball cap, nowadays its supid rainbow skinny jeans, vans that look like golf shoes, and tight little v-neck t-shirts that look like they were bought at an infant clothing store. WTF is up with kids of today that like this stuff and think its cool? I miss the retro NBA jerseys that rappers would rock back in the day, the backwards caps, bandanas, sick chains and jewelery, the timbs and boots, nowadays rappers like New Boyz think that turquoise and purple skinny jeans look cool, with a size small v-neck shirt and a scarf and tight fitted cap that shows the shape of your head. I seriusly hate todays music and wish I could have been in high school when the Carter 2 by Lil Wayne was out or the Carter which were two of Lil Wayne is best solo albums out to this day, or when T.I was still a thug and not a pop sellout like today with whatever you like, or when Snoop Dogg still kept it gangsta with the Blue Carpet Treatment releasing singles like Boss' Life ft Nate Dogg and That's that shit with R.Kelly. I miss the hip hop from the 90's to about 2006's 2007ish. You just don't hear rap like that anymore nowadays. Now its all about jerkin and vans! Please tell me what to do I can't cope with seeing idiot kids in my school dress like stupid jerkers, I want baggy jeans and baggy tees to go back into style! moreOpen Question: I have Alcoholic Hepatitis........?
How long will it take me to recover from a moderate to severe version of this?? My doctor said it wouldnt be best to take the regular treatment of anti-inflammatory drugs so as to not overload my liver with new things to process. I would follow up with a second opinion from another doctor but I have no insurance. Thanks to anyone who has any factual answers. To the people who responded disrespectfully, this is from alcohol consumption, as I have a problem with alcohol and this diagnosis has steered me sober, you effin idiots. Do you know of the hype behind all the dangerous chemicals in brands like pantene, neutrogena, herbal essence, sauve, etc? Although I am 100% for Suboxone and how it changes lives, I believe all of the side effects have yet to be documented. For example, the first year I took Suboxone, I experienced numbness in my hands. Maybe not exactly numbness, but my hands would fall asleep very suddenly and easily. Even though this was reported by others in the treatment program I was in, it is not an official side effect. What I wanted to know, because I am a female and can't answer this question for myself, does Suboxone lower the male sex drive? This is something I over heard, but never asked. So men on the drug, is there a difference? moreResolved Question: What's his problem? Is it me?
Okay, I've been dating this guy for about three weeks. At first everything was great. He was sweet, very talkative, and wanted to spend nearly every second he could with me (which is a slight issue, because he lives a little bit away). We've spent time together, and he's stayed an entire weekend at my house before. Now, lately, he's been acting....weird. He started by waiting a good while before he texts back, and his "I love yous" turned into "Love u 2" and the worse "U 2." One night he was going to call me, but instead he went out and got drunk with his friends. When he got back, he called me drunk and bluntly told me if his friend wanted him to break-up with me, that he would....it was kind of random. Now, he won't call at 9 anymore. He waits until nearly midnight before he calls me. He says his brothers use the phone before him, but that was NEVER an issue the first two weeks. He's been getting bitchy towards me lately, and treats me kind of badly. He says it's because he has to impress me, but he doesn't. I just don't like him doing drugs! Now, after all of this, he told me he was in a drug treatment facility TWO YEARS AGO! What the fuck? He jokes around about doing pills, and I KNOW he smokes weed and did mushrooms one night. I'm so confused. Please, someone, could you offer me a little advice? He seems so withdrawn, he lies constantly, but I am in love with him.... moreVoting Question: get on Accutane, yes or no?
hello, my doctor is about to prescribe me accutane, though my acne is not severe and unlookable, it is really stubborn and resist to many treatment range from topical to antibiotic. i personally is really excited that I may finally get a chance to see my face getting clear for the first time in the past 5 years but the risk and side effect is really making me undecisive, i've seen people who suffered from minimum side effect and got skin "cured" but i've also heard people who claim that this drug had ruined their lives because the side effect is aggressive and life-long and acne relapses. how can i know if accutane is right for me? should i take the risk, please share me your insights, thank you moreResolved Question: im writing a novel; would 5 months in rehab make sense?

I mean really?
Why does every time there is an incident there is someone who mutters "there could have been kids in there" or "a kid could have gotten hurt"....who cares? who really cares if a kid gets hurt or not. wow, because they're 7 years old they get special treatment? what does it matter, they're kids now sure in present day but there is a good chance they grow up to be dirtbags who use drugs so. whats the damage??I know why. I've had scarring acne for almost three years and I've tried everything from soap and water to Proactive, eight different brands in total and a whole bunch of unconventional treatments. So I finally found one that works, a drug called minocylcine I've been taking 200 mg a day for two months, along with the use of Differen gel for my scars. My dermatologist says that in two more months he's taking me off of the mino and just letting me use the gel daily to prevent more breakouts and keep treating any scars left, and that I should be good, if not, he wants to go with Accutane. I'm using urine therapy and mino again before Accutane, definitely, but I don't think that's logic. Apparently he thinks that this minocycline (a type of tetrocylcine if you're familiar) is going to kill my scarring acne for life. I'll have normal breakouts like other kids that I can treat with the Differen, but I don't know, I think scarring acne is my version of a normal breakout, it seems weird. I don't think Accutane is necessary, but if there's been no tests on long term use of mino . . . Anyways, that doesn't make sense to me. Can a drug banish your severe acne for life and reduce you to normal breakouts? I'm fourteen now, and normally this could continue for twice that. And also, if you've used Accutane, can you tell me about your experience? Thanks! moreVoting Question: Is it safe to take a benzodiazapine while taking Prednisolone?
Was prescribed Diazapam-5mg about 6 months ago, have a few left that I never needed. I have Pleurisy and was given a steroid to help boost the treatment process. However, today (day 1), I have taken 5 of 6 of them and have quite a bit of anxiety and restlessness that is uncomfortable. I can't seem to relax and thought I could take a Diazapam. Nowhere does it say in a very long list of drug interactions anything about a benzo. Would it be safe to take one tonight before bed? I will call the doctor tomorrow but it is 10:45PM...I couldn't get in touch with him this late without going through an answering service to someone on call. And I still have one more Prednisolone to take tonight...I'm afraid I'll be wired. Thanks for the advice. moreVoting Question: Pleaseeee help me :(........How do I explain ?
There are people who feel trapped in the wrong body, Or are unhappy with some part of themselves that cause's them Psychological distress, and to have an unhappy perception of themselves like this: http://www.channel4.com/programmes/bodyshock/episode-guide/series-18/episode-1 http://www.myvideo.de/watch/6707480/Worlds_Youngest_Sex_Change_Kim_Petras_bei_This_Morning I was told I had Body dysmorphic disorder (bdd) aged 16 which also caused a lot of anxiety/depression, I'm now 19 and still suffer with this, I had cbt and therapy also spent time in an in unit for young people. The cbt made me iller and hate myself more (forced to be ok, rather than try to) I do not want to do it again as it didn't help me, I have a hatered with my eyes (colour) I found lenses in one brand that look ok, But i'm terrified they'll discontinue and as stupid as it may seem to others i'd kill myself because I cannot deal with the psychological pain. When people have eye trauma's like a scar in their iris they can have shell lenses that cover this defect ? so the person feels, "psychologically" better. This is how i feel even though others do not see my pain. I do know that cancer patients and eye traumas are top prioroty, and i am not saying this is wrong i'm just asking someone to help me in the way i know will, but how do you explain this to doctors ?? I really want a career as a clinical psychologist or a psychiatrist, but i cannot do this without the lenses being there. iv'e been told explain how much i need this and how it will benefit my life 100%. But i read news like this and think, how do i stand a chance, http://www.dailymail.co.uk/health/article-1308001/Mother-refused-breast-cancer-drug-NHS-celebrates-sons-birthday-thanks-kind-hearted-donor-paid-treatment.html http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-1280058/Becky-wins-battle-NHS-cancer-treatment.html i am so depressed and low in my self right now that i don't think i can handle another knock back, or a brush off. I tell myself to scar my own eyes, just to get some help because i don't want to die. or blind myself cause no one will help me, people with gender dysphoria get help because without it they'd end up hurting themselves as they are being made to live as someone they are not, that's how i feel about my eyes and i am begging for help, how do i explain ? moreVoting Question: My friend tried to kill himself. He has gotten treatment, but he says he can't keep going?
My friend recently tried to OD on pills. I had known him for a year -- I met him in my psychology class last year. He shot me down when I tried to talk to him at first, but he later warmed up to me. I got to know a little bit about him, although he can pretty much pinpoint everything there is to know about me. That is scary in its own right. The problem is that he has NO FAMILY whatsoever. All of his family members were either drug addicts or alcoholics. His father drank himself to death after his mother cheated on him -- guess that was why he turned me down initially; he distrusts women very much. His brother died from an overdose and his mother and sister were both killed in an accident. I feel so guilty because my family consists of immigrants from Slovakia and the Czech Republic. I have siblings and many cousins -- yet I cannot stand half of my family. I feel like I take them for granted anymore because he hasn't ONE MEMBER. I kept talking to him and I actually developed feelings for this guy. Deep feelings. He gave me a sapphire pendant and told me that if my heart was warm enough, it would melt the frozen stone, sending rain to end the driest drought. I literally fell in love with him after that. It took him a year to actually kiss me! He gave me a key to his house and said I was welcome over any time. I usually call first, but the one time I show up without doing so, I find him on the floor in his room with a gun just out of his reach. I called for help and it turns out he tried to OD and was too weak to even lift the gun. Why would someone do that!? He is so smart! He is a good person and he knows I care about him! I got to talk to him after he woke up in the hospital. He didn't want to see me, but I did anyway. I asked him what the f++k his problem was and he just shakes me off! Stupid a@@hole... We started to yell and he told me to leave again and I refused. He grabs me and shakes me. I try to shove him off because that hurt... I guess he seen it and he stopped. He begins to cry -- trying to hide it walking away. I go after him and ask him what his problem is. He told me his father used to hit his mother and him all the time. I never knew that. He said he tried to kill himself because he felt he was becoming like his father. I told him that wasn't true because his father was on every drug and always drinking. He does everything in his power to stay away from it. He said that he doesn't want to end up hurting anyone, yet he is literally killing me. Doesn't he see that I love him!? Honestly, when I was growing up, all my life, NOBODY understood me. He gets me -- I don't know how, but he just does. He put so many things in my life into perspective in an hour's time, that I would have to spend a lifetime repaying the favor. He is that perceptive. I just cannot stand this anymore because I feel like I can't even help the one person that matters to me most in my life. I tried to talk to my friends but they are so positive they will bend everything in my favor. My family doesn't want me hanging around him because they are just weird. What am I supposed to do!? My mother treats me like crap and I don't understand why. She treats my sister much better than me. She even has normal conversation with her about her day or about life in general. The only time my mother talks to me is to yell and scream at me or ask me to do something. My mother treats me as if I I made her life what it is. I graduated from high school in 2004 and pay my way through college. I've always had a stable job. I don't smoke or do drugs. I rarely drink and pretty much stay to myself. My sister, who is the opposite did things to upset my mother. She ran away from home when she was a teenager, dropped out of school, crashed our grandfather's car when she was 14, went to juvenile detention as a teenager and pretty much ran wild. My mother physically abused me and pretty much verbally abuses me every chance she gets. My sister and grandmother think I am the cause for my mother's poor treatment. My grandmother even goes as far as to make excuses for my mother's behavior. My mother takes all of her anger out on me, has practically ruined any self-esteem I have and ability to be an emotionally healthy person and then wonders why our relationship is the way it is. So I got this Murad Acne Complex kit from Sephora on Sunday. It includes the cleanser (1) Toner (1) Acne spot treatment (2) Exfoliating Acne treatment Gel (2) and the Skin perfecting lotion (3). Those are the steps. According to the labels, this is how my routine goes. 1. Cleanser 2. Toner 3. Exfoliating Acne treatment Gel 4. Acne Spot treatment 5. Skin perfecting lotion On the little flap at the bottom of the box (includes the same drug facts as on the little bottles themselves. it has the Acne spot treatment before the exfoliating Acne gel. Is this how I should follow the routine. I mean both are step 2, it doesn't say ANYWHERE which one is recommended to put on 1st between those 2 I just mentioned... Help? Or am I doing it right? No bad reactions ( skin purging) yet. My face's "T zone" is a LITTLE less "oily" too. :) not too many results yet, 24 hrs. have no passed since my last application and my 1st. Fact is I was not proven to have used any drugs. the charge is a possesion charge. only because it was in my home. My husband needs help with substance abuse but we dont make very much money. Thank you! moreVoting Question: Please help me understand about OxyContin (Oxycodone) detection in drugs testing? Is it specific?
I know this is the type of question that is usually asked by recreational drug users- but i actually have a prescription for this medication and my problem is slightly different. I would really appreciate anybody taking the time to read about my situation and offer some advice. I have a chronic pain condition (moderate interstitial cystitis) which was diagnosed 9 months ago. Among other treatments, i am prescribed narchotic pain relievers to ease my pain and help me sleep. Unfortunately, my job does not allow any use of painkillers or medication whilst on duty for safety reasons. This is fine, because i only really need the painkillers at night, and i never take them whilst on duty. My condition exempts me from my job (even though mine is very well controlled and causes me NO problems at work- i have never taken a single sick day) so i have been seeing a private specialist for treatment. Up until recently i was prescribed mostly high doses of codeine, which is availible in the UK in small doses so could technically be explained away in a drugs test by saying i had taken some over-the-counter painkillers for period pain the night before or something. However, my recent cystoscopy showed my condition had got worse and i have been prescribed OxyContin 10mg (extended release oxycodone) to be taken before i go to bed each night. But now i'm worried that if i have a random drugs test this will show up, and even though i have a prescription etc. i could still be in trouble at work. Does a drugs test differentiate between the opiates? How long after taking a 10mg OxyContin would in be detectable in my blood/urine? Would an opiate as strong as Oxycodone ever be prescribed for something more minor such as wrist pain or knee pain (i've had minor wrist and knee surgery in the past for sprts injuries) I know that i'm being dishonest- but i love my job and i'm good at it. I know the rules about meds are there for a reason, but i'm one of those lucky people who metabolise drugs with practically no side effects- i feel no different after taking an OxyContin than a Tylenol. I don't get sleepy or high- but regardless i only take my meds at night anyway. Any info anyone can give me about OxyContin and drugs tests would really be appreciated= thank you <3 moreVoting Question: Can you help me help for my brother who is at STAGE IV Squamous Cell Cancer?
My brother was diagnosed last September with Squamous Cell Carcinoma. VERY aggressive for of cancer. They located the source of the cancer behind his tongue. It has spread to his hip and 5 lymph-nodes. He has no major organs affected. He has been undergoing chemo treatment for almost a year and is running out of treatment options. Treatments used have been Taxol, 5-fu, Cisplatin, and Carboplatin. No longer effective. Currently on Erbitux and Taxotere Radiation has been done on the hip, which went well but they have to take him off chemo while doing radiation. BIG problem, because THEN the tumors in his neck go crazy! The doctors have given him the go ahead to look into research treatment options and this is where I need your help. We have looked into MD Anderson, NIH, CTRC, START and a few others. If you can give us some leads, that would be greatly appreciated. Time is of the essence!!! The earliest they gave him was 3 months. Please no links to people selling books or their products. Some specifics: his cancer is squamous cell, metastasis; otolaryngeall cancer, stage IV with new metastasiss after 3 courses of chemo. Primary chemo medicines include Erbitux and Taxotere and other drugs for side effects. He does have hypertension which is controlled by medication and he is also a coumadin patient as of the lung embolisms. He is a fighter!!! Through all this he has kept his head high and fought with such a strong will to live. He has always given the shirt off his back. Even in his illness he is STILL helping others in need. Participating in cancer research fundraisers, helping his family long distance, and so much more. It's just getting harder and harder for him to fight. He says he will NEVER give in to cancer. If you cannot help him with referrals, please help him with prayer. Thank you in advance. A concerned sister who loves her brother more than he knows!!!! moreVoting Question: Why isnt there a conversation on deregulating the health care industry?
Honestly 90% of what doctors do is not rocket science yet there are 10% of the cases that do need special treatment why isn't there a conversation on removing licenses for basic medical procedures and let nurses and what not do them and also allow more drugs to be purchased with out a prescription. This could slash healthcare costs..... moreDrugs Treatment Search Results
