I have a member of staff who over the last 9 years has had a variety of illnesses; poly-cystic ovaries, asthma, migraines, symphisis pubis disorder and now chronic fatigue syndrome. In all cases she has tried to blame our employer for causing or aggravating her condition. She has tried to sue the employer twice unsuccessfully. She now comes to work in a wheelchair (due to the CFS) which has not been medically provided and which she does not use at home. She has been seen walking/dancing outside work. She tells lies constantly, seemingly trying to divide other staff, saying things like "she's trying to stitch you up". She tries to get pity constantly and absolutely craves attention. She is never satisfied with any help/support given and always looks for the negative in any resolution offered to her. She never thanks anyone for anything, even when people have gone out of their way to help her. She has twice made very malicious allegations about other staff, stating that one bullied her (definitely did not) and that another shut a door on her (couldn't possibly have happened the way she described it). The fact that she could do this to two totally innocent people leads me to believe she has no conscience. She seems to be of the opinion that the 'world owes her something' and that people should check how she is constantly. When she stated that some people wouldn't help her by pushing her wheelchair (which they have no obligation to do) she was told that other people may have hidden illnesses, which might prevent them from pushing a heavy wheelchair, she stated that she KNEW these people had nothing wrong with them and they were just being unkind to her. She seems to have no concept of other people's lives or feelings. She has manipulated the fact that she is 'disabled' and seems to love the power it gives her over the company. She also plays to some people's emotions, crying regularly in front of one manager, who she knew would feel empathy for this behaviour. yet never crying with other managers who would be unmoved by this. She also tries to shock by burping, farting and telling overtly sexual stories in, what is, a conservative office environment. I used to worry a lot about the situation but her demands/lies have become so farcical that I just let it wash over me, and stay calm, however this seems to enrage her She seems to me to be a sociopath, am I taking the right approach by acting disinterested? moreResolved Question: Is chronic fatigue syndrome a real disease or just a byword for laziness?

I have been suffering from pain in my rib cage on the right hand side for months. I have seen my G.P. and had blood tests but as I suffer from M.S. she thinks that this could be the cause. However the pain is getting much worse and last night I was crying with the pain. It feel like the ribcage bones themselves hurt and no painkillers help. I've looked up all sorts of sites on the internet but just can't find anything it could be. I am going back to see the doctor next week as that's the earliest appointment she had but does anyone know what this could be. I, of course, fear the worst that it is some form of cancer! moreResolved Question: What do I do if I don't get the 5 GCSE's?
I missed year 10 for reasons I couldn't control, because of this I had to take a smaller number of GCSE's as I had started in the last year. I'm worried that I won't receive the required grades in order for me to do A-Levels so if I fail I'll be gutted because it will not be purely down to my lack of effort, I've had depression and chronic fatigue for about 3 years and it's caused my attention span and concentration levels to be lower than what they were, this isn't an excuse but it affected me, the school don't know this though. I just wanted to know what are my options if I get 4 instead of 5 for example? I don't want to re-sit the whole year but I really want to do A-Levels at my college of choice because I live in a rubbish area and this college is the nicest thing within an hours drive. moreResolved Question: what are these symptoms of?
I have chronic fatigue syndrome/fibromyalgia/M.E (doctors keep changing there minds which I have seen as they all have similar symptoms). I was doing quite well but in the last 3 months I have got ill and I'm not sure if it is related. My symptoms from the last 3 months are: difficulty breathing at times pain and difficulty when swallowing bad cough at times (taken my inhaler regularly when usually i take it once every few months) sudden sharp pains in my chest with no obvious cause congested ears that pop when i swallow persistent sneezing muscle aches more often frequent painful headaches increased trouble sleeping swollen tonsils temperature Any idea what could be wrong? My doctor has tried me with one type of antibiotics and done a swab test on my throat. She has also told me several times that if i leave it, then it should sort itself out. Hi, maybe my cynical view of capitalism and particularly the pharmaceutical companies. But it seems to me that there has been very real cures in the last 50years, but a great deal of expensive treatments for various pre-existing and imagined viruses, treatments and syndromes, (ADHD, Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, etc. etc.) It is simply unprofitable for pharmaceutical companies to develop cures, because they only provide a one-off profit; as opposed to various treatments that guarantee an endless capital. For me, I am fairly sure that there are cures for various viruses and diseases that are being withheld because it would unprofitable for pharmaceutical companies to release them - despite the immorality of it all. It also hides the real causes of many diseases and problems - that is: poverty, inequality and discrimination. What do you think? moreResolved Question: Diet for people with Chronic Fatigue Syndrome or M.E?
I had been feeling unwell on and off from the age of 15. The doctor said it was due to IBS being a young mom and being overweight. I only started to put weight on at the age of 16 when I started to feel extreme fatigue, lack of enthusiasm and motivation. I also found that I started to comfort eat to help boost my low moods. Before this age I was very slim and very active. I tried very hard to loose weight and managed to succeed and I kept on fighting the feelings of ill health I had. During my third pregnancy I became extremely unwell and piled on the weight I was 17 and half stone by the end of my pregnancy, although exhausted after I had given birth I got right back onto dieting and managed to get down to 12 stone, but the fatigue and muscle pans, headaches etc were so intense I was just miserable. The doctors still had no help to offer me. Two years ago at the age of 25 I went into casualty with a severe build up of pain in my right foot, within an hour of being in the hospital I had lost nearly all the use of the right side of my body and was suffering from an intense burning pressure throughout my arm and leg. The doctors felt had , had a minor stroke and they felt I had Multiple Sclerosis after reviewing my medical past. After an MRI though they found no sign of MS, so they diagnosed me with Chronic Fatigue Syndrome. I was so frustrated because I myself did not recognise it as being a genuine illness and was embarrassed to think this was the cause of my problems but two years on I know how real this problem is and as much as I try to push through and prove I dont have this illness my body just wont let me, there has been improvements but I still struggle greatly. One of my main issues is my weight I am now 13 and a half stone and although my husband loves me the way I am I really do want to loose weight. I find that I still comfort eat and du to sever dips in my energy levels which cause my to have dizzy spells and body weakness I tend to grab food that will try and improve the way I am feeling. I also try to exercise but I am still a mom of three young children and find that my body just struggles to cope with exercise and the other daily chores I need to do. I need to find a diet which is suitable for someone with my health problem and I have tried many which just dont. I know that some with CFS/ME have been advised to cut out a lot of things from their diet or to take exta vitamins etc. I just need to be pointed in the right direction, I need to get slimmer and I my diet wil have to be the main thing that helps that weigthloss due to my lack of energy, any sugguestions welcomed. moreResolved Question: I keep getting reccuring tonsillitis?
I am an 18 year old male who gets acute (occasionally chronic) tonsillitis every 2/3 months, antibiotics eventually clear it after each time, my GP told me that hospitals are reluctant to remove tonsils now because that doesn't usually help the cause. After many bouts of it, my doctor has reffered me to a blood test to test for possible anemia or other things. i do get sudden head rushes when i stand up sometimes, but i dont get tired doing easy tasks, i am a fairly active 18 year old, my sleeping pattern could be better to be fair but i can be very tired somedays. i cant afford to miss of school and work every 2/3 months with illness and i would like to know if anyone knows other causes of my tonsillitis or maybe any ways to boost my immune system to fight it better, my blood test isnt for a couple of days.... thanks for reading!! hope you can help! moreResolved Question: Sleep Problems. Weird Headaches. Nightmares. Gasping.?
As the weather becomes warmer & warmer, my body is trying to revert to a nocturnal shift. I spent my formative years growing up in Las Vegas and have come to despise the sun and any elements of heat, so my ability to sleep & eat during proper hours becomes very askew. Over the last month I have developed an... unfortunate sleeping schedule, which I am doing my best to correct. But lately I have been waking up with this strange headache. Now, I am prone to chronic cluster migraines and I know this is not one of them. It feels deep, almost dull, but is quite debilitating. I wake up feeling dizzy... disoriented. The headache tends to go away quickly but the dizziness & disorientation tends to stay for quite some time afterwards. It's like waking up with a hangover. I have also been prone to nightmares my entire life, but lately I've been waking up gasping from them, unable to catch my breath without a few minutes of proper breathing techniques. I am not asthmatic. I have also found myself in unusual positions upon waking. Tonight, for example, I fell asleep around midnight. When I awoke at two thirty (that's two and one half hours later) I found myself in the genuflect position, kneeling on the bed. As I stated, my sleeping schedule is really off right now, but lately, when I am able to sleep, I sleep like I am in a coma. My sleep isn't solid - I frequently wake every thirty to sixty minutes - but when I do sleep it feels like... death. A few mornings ago, my girlfriend came to my side and said she found me ice cold, blue and unresponsive. She said nothing would wake me and that not only was I not snoring, I didn't entirely appear to be breathing. She said it took several very violent shakes to get me to suddenly gasp and change position. Here are my questions: No 1: What are these headaches? Dehydration occurred to me, especially since they don't seem to be much of a problem when I am running our humidifier at bedtime. Another concern of mine is that my girlfriend has claimed to wake some mornings with a similar headache, but being that she is a diabetic, she claims it's her disease that causes these in her. No 2: Why do I feel almost "hungover" when I wake up - so dizzy and disoriented? No 3: Why the gasping? I don't recall waking up from nightmares gasping before. I don't have a history or... many other symptoms of sleep apnea that I am aware of. Also, why the strange positions at times? No 4: Why the incident of being blue & ice cold? Quite simply, am I trying to die in my sleep?@Cameron - I'm not very trustworthy of the medical field, so I prefer to avoid them as much as possible. Eating & caffeine could very well be a source of it and thank you for backing up my dehydration concerns. Your words will definitely be taken into consideration. @J_ - I've already gone days without sleeping, it doesn't seem to be helping this time. moreResolved Question: abusing marijuana, mental side affects?
I am open to any and all answers, but my boyfriend is a chronic, long-term marijuana smoker. He has gradually become more aggressive when not using, and I feel as though mentally, marijuana may have caused some injury to the psychological state of his brain. I really want to know what mental side affects he might be experiencing, because I am so scared that I am slowly losing my boyfriend. I know that many people believe that marijuana does nothing to a person. But it is unbelievable how different he acts high as opposed to sober. Like I said, I am open to any and all answers, but if there is a professional willing to answer this question, I would love to hear what you have to say. Thank you. And I would just estimate that he is smoking anywhere between 3-6 grams daily.Zian, he is 27 years old and has been smoking for about 13 years... chronically for 12. moreResolved Question: Can my landlord enter into my house in the name of emergency?
Hi, I have been served a antedated notice by Landlord to vacate by April 15th. (Section 21). Teh landlord claims to have served the notice by hand to the property on Feb 15th. However, the proper notice was served on march 2nd from agents with a copy of antedated notice. I have filed a defence claiming the notice to be invalid. I have posted my defence on may 7th and am awaiting to hear form court. In the meantime, the builder/contractor and handyman of the Landlord have been accessing the property everyday from the door behind the backyard and have been working in the garden. It affects our privacy. TOday, the Builder came to the house and threatened that he would be coming with machines creating loud noise in the house and dust. HE cwould come in 04/06/2010 saying that he is going to repair the leak in the shower-room as it is an emergency service. He hand-delivered a letter which is un-signed but states that it is from landlord which states the following: URGENT 19/05/2010 cC: aGENT cC: sOLICITORS cc: iNSURANCE Dear X, As you are aware that there is a serious leak from the bathroom which has very seriously damaged the ceiling below(responsibility pending). Although a very temporary repair was made it has been advised by the relavant bodies that the bathroom/shower is renewed imminently to stop any further damage. Works will be commencing on 04/06/2010 and we would propose that someone be present or we would enter by key. YOu therefor have recommended legal amount of notice.Works will be undertaken from 8 a.m. (weekends included) and should take 7-10days.Please keep drive clear as a skip will need to be delivered. We must warn you that there will high noise levels and some dust. All stairs, landing and hallway must be kept totally clear. We are soory for incovinience. Regards, Landlord(unsigned) The builder (Landlord's friend ) spoke in a threatening way today while hand-delivering the letter, saying he would throw our things on the way to the shower room and cause damage. So he asked us to move immediately. My questions: a) The leak has been a chronic problem. It was mentioned in the inventory. We mentioned to the agents in February 2010 about the recurrence of any leak which causes stain on the ceiling of the room below the bathroom. However, they never came until April to look into it. The contractor did repair in the shower sttaing that it was a chronic problem. Does this be included in 'Emergency servicces' b) Can they break in to do this. c) Can I refuse their entry as the case is already in court? d) I have a 3 year old child . Can I refuse their entry as they threaten to create loud noises and huge dust. e) The letter states 'responsibility pending' for the leak. however, the leak has been there for years and has been mentioned in the inventory as well. WIll they claim my deposit (1800£) for the leak which is not my resposibility. f) I am in the process of moving into another house on Jun 15th. Can I get a stay order for the repair until then or until the hearing of the case of (Section 21) possession in the court. I feel we have been harassed enough by the Landlord and his men for the last few months. Thanks in advance, moreResolved Question: Do I have chronic anxiety?
I've always been a worrier. Ever since I was little. I would be scared about going into school because I was worried I would catch diseases and die. Of course now I'm 15, that seems silly to me and that passed and I just think now, at the end of the day if i'm going to die, i'm going to die, regardless of the date and cause, it will happen when it happens, and I can't change it. That sounds awfully morbid and I promise i'm not a death wisher, or a pesimist or goth or anything like that. But I suffer from extreme rushes of anxiety alot. For example, a boy in my life. Any new guy, I will text and be happy and comfortable with and then BAM. As soon as it start to get more than friendship-y I start to panic, feel enclosed and squashed like I cant get away, like I neeed to get away, I cry and I shake and my breathing gets worse and worse and I just cut them off completly. I'm doing work expirence at the moment and its been great but now i'm starting to get anxious wanting to get away, I've even considered pretending to be ill to get off it tomorrow. I feel so terrifed like I dont want to leave the house and I feel like I want to cry for no reason at all, and I miss my mum like crazy and she is all I want. Which is mad, I'm fifteen years old. I can't go away to this summer camp thing I used to be able to go on and I can barely sleepover peoples houses. Its driving me insane, its ruling my life and I dont know what it is, let alone how to control it. Help please? Oh and sorry about the essay :) Thanks in advance Lucyy moreResolved Question: What is causing my lower back pain?
I'm 18 and for the last few weeks (around 3) I have been experiencing lower back pain during most nights. It's not chronic but is irritating for me. I'm not a large set person as I am on the smaller end of a size 14. I do not currently suffer from any skeletal conditions that I know of for definite. But my aromatherapy tutor at college did say that she believed that I may have minor lordosis. Which incase you're not aware is an exaggerated curve of the lower spine but she said it's not much at all. And I have never had a problem. Also, I have lost weight in the last few months. I have had a larger chest since I was in my mid-teens and still do so I doubt it's causing back pain now because, I would think that whilst losing weight, they in turn would become smaller as well? What is probably the main cause if you know? Should I see anyone if it continues? Thank you in advance, Char xx. moreVoting Question: Is it possible to be a good mom but knowingly....?

Hi, my daughter was born in July last year and I've never been happier, but my physical health seems to be geing downhill rapidly, I'm just wondering if anybody can give me any more insight into this; I've suffered from chronic stomach pains for just over 10 years now and Dr's have never been able to put their fingers on what's causing it...in the end they put it down to stress. Also, I've been having migraines for the past 5 years. Both seem to have gotten much worse since having my daughter. I've also completely gone off food...I've always been a passionate cook and before having my daughter loved to create new dishes and try new foods. Since having her I'd be happy if I never had to eat again, I don't experience hunger any more and feel nauseous almost constantly...I try to force myself to eat but that usually just makes me feel worse. Sometimes I'll forget to eat at all all day and wont even realise till my husband gets in from work and asks me what I've eaten that day. I've lost loads of weight as a result of this (meaning I'm now underweight as I wasn't exactly big before my daughter was born.) I've been to the doctors numerous times and they haven't been able to find a thing wrong. For about 8 weeks after she was born I did suffer from night terrors, I'd wake up around 4am every morning convinced that I had twins and had lost one of them and I could spend up to half an hour crying as I searched the bedroom for my "lost baby." But I've not had one of them for months now. I do occasionally suffer from panic attacks too. (These have just started very recently.) My Mum-in-law has started to take my daughter out for the day once a week and the whole time she's gone I'm a nervous wreck. Unable to think straight and having palpatations and experiencing a tight feeling in my chest from about half an hour after they leave till they get back. I really have to controll myself so I'm not on the phone to them the whole time they're gone. My question is; is it possible to suffer from post natal depression but only really get the physical side effects or is this something else? Has anybody else felt like this after giving birth and when and how did it get better? Sorry this is so long, I'll be grateful to anyone who answers. Thanks a lot! :0) moreResolved Question: Endometriosis - If my hormones are ok, and my ultrasound came back fine could i still have it?
Long story short, I've had chronic fatigue syndrome since October 2008. Around April 2009 my periods started going odd, i missed 3 and ever since then theyve been getting longer and longer. The last few months i've had one lasting 36 days then got a 7 day break and now im on again (18 days and still going). They were always heavy, but never this long. My GP sent me for an Ultrasound and hormone blood tests which all came back fine and I've got another appointment with her this week. So would endometriosis be worth asking about, or not? Just imagine your self sleeping in stinky damp mouldy room, on wet bed with a noisy buckets all over the house, waking up to change a full buckets, walking in wet floor, moping all day long and night also you washed & iron your own & Ur children cloths, after few weeks you find it with full of black mold & imagine how we frustrated?! We pay our rent but our housing failed to fix repair our leaky ceiling, they keep promising to fix it, & told us mold doesn't cause any health problems, We don't know what to do? where to go? we feel like we are trash, we extremely discussed by our leaving conditioned!!!!!! Any advice please? THANK YOU FOR YOUR TIMEThank you all for your answer! I actually leave on the top of our building, no one above us leaking comes from my roof. I've been in the loft, my loft is so scary full of mold & damp, the bricks cracked, also I spots mice's, I'm now scared of my celling might falling down soon or later. My housing association is responsible for the repair, the contractor keep come & go shall I refuse to pay the rent? We can't afford to rent private flat, we live in London Camden, been in CAB my solicitor is from CAB office. Killing mold with a bleach will help for the time being but come back quickly unless some one fix the roof & kill all mold in the loft then come to the rest of the room. moreResolved Question: can anyone tell me about chronic pain?
what causes someone not to heal after a operation, leaving them in chronic pain for years after.is there any cure and why is this condition worse in winter?its not me,im just curious about someone else who had a op that didnt work and now takes strong pain relief including morphine.i suppose im wondering why the only option is pain relief and if the pain is linked to depression moreResolved Question: My daughter is 11-mos. old. Is it CF, Asthma or Allergies?
My daughter, now 11-months old, was born 5 weeks premature. She was 4lbs 12oz and thankfully did not require the use of oxygen, but she did have meconium plugs which is one of the symptoms of CF. The surgeon at the hospital asked if we had any CF in the family, but we are not aware of any. My daughter also has 2 VSD's (heart defects) - one moderate size and the other smaller. Her cardiologist is insistant that these are not causing her delayed growth. She is at 11 months old only 15 pounds and remains in the 3rd percentile for weight and 5th for length. From birth she had very bad reflux and a hard time digesting the regular formula. We switched her to Alimentum and things got better, but the reflux didn't subside until about 9 months old. At 6 months we had to put her in daycare, and she hasn't been well a day since. Her eyes are always gooey and she has a horrible, deep, wet cough. So far she's been diagnosed with bronchiolitis, conjuntivitis, H1N1, chronic ear infections (had tubes put in at 10 months) and sinusitis. My husband and I have never been able to shake the feeling that we might be dealing with CF, even though her heel prick came back negative - those tests aren't always 100% accurate, especially at such a young age. Or could her persistent illness be asthma or allergy related? Just wondering if anyone else out there has any similar symptoms they'd like to share with us. We go for her 1 yr checkup in mid-March so I've been researching several things to bring up at that appointment. Anything anyone else has to offer would be greatly appreciated. moreResolved Question: Chest pains when i run?
This morning i got up and went for a run, i decided i needed to get fit so im pretty inexperienced, i ran for about 5 minutes and i started getting chronic pains in my chest, it was agony, what worried me though was that i wasn't sprinting or anything i was just slowly jogging and pacing myself. It hurt when i inhaled and i got a really sore throat , i was just wandering what caused this pain, i know im unfit so i did pace myself which is why i don't understand what caused this. I hadn't eaten before hand could this be why? thanks xx moreVoting Question: Any ladies who had Chlamydia for a while have complications afterwards?
I was treated for this in March last year having had the infection for 19 months. I only knew because I started to get symptoms of cervicitus. Anyway since treatment around October I have had a lot of severe symptoms such as nausea, chronic abdominal pain, loose stool, frequent urination, low back pain, shooting pains down my leg etc and I have been in A and E three times with intense abdo pain. I am down to see a consultant in March for investigations but I am wondering if anyone else had this and could it be PID caused by Chlamydia even though I had this treated? moreVoting Question: What is the story with this sore throat?
I've had a sore throat for the last 3 weeks; it doesn't seem to be going anywhere. It gets a little better; but then it gets worse. I've seen a nurse about this; she checked my temperature, it was fine. My heart, fine. The back of my pharynx is red. She told me to take Neurofen as well as something soluble; such as disprin, and gargle. I've been doing this, and it seemed to get better, but today, spent the day in the cold, and then had a few pints. My throat is really bad this evening. I'm not sure if it's the drink causing this or the cold, I'll kick the drink to the curb fully for now. But I'm worried about this could be. The nurse claimed it was probably just viral, but I've never heard of a virus that lasts 3 weeks. And generally when you're sick and start to get better you don't recede back to being sick; over and over for three weeks. This 'sore throat' doesnt necessarily effect my swallowing; but it does affect my talking; I absolutely cannot sing, and I've a chronic cough. What could this be!?! moreResolved Question: I'm sick to death of being in pain!?
Before you start on the get over it BS, i suffer from chronic back pain due to an injury in childhood, suffer from PCOS and in agony all the time with it. I have no cartilage in my left knee and both ankles due to an RTA so my bones are constantly grinding against each other. I suffer from migraines and have glue ear. I have really bad asthma, since birth, which has got worse from having pneumonia. to top it off i have a broken foot and a torn ligament, and a suspected broken tailbone, which is the thing that has brought me over the edge into despair. I went to hospital when it happened but the doc just said that there's nothing they can do and just to take paracetamol, my GP as since prescribed me codeine and dicloflex, but it isn't helping. I'm having tests for anemia and other things cos i keep collapsing and banging my head, causing concussion and more headaches. This is how bad the hospital is http://uk.answers.yahoo.com/question/index;_ylt=Ag581TListeA3ASuBn9mTJ8hBgx.;_ylv=3?qid=20100205050708AAlR8K1 I have a tens machine, but it isn't helping either. I can't get a proper sleep cos i keep rolling onto my back and waking up in agony. I suffer from depression which is getting worse from lack of sleep and pain. I need help. it's getting me really down. what can i do to stop the pain? I normally cope with it all, but with the new injuries and my collapsing i've just had enough. I can barely lift my 2 y/o to give her an hug, and that's when i'm doped up to the eyeballs. when my tablets wear off i can't even cuddle her. I've been given a repeat prescription for thew codeine cos of the pain, and was told they might put me on morphine if it doesn't ease up, and i don't want to be on morphine. moreResolved Question: Can glandular fever lead to ME?
I'm a little confused as to what ME actually is, some people say it's also chronic fatigue syndrome but is it? I had glandular fever about 6 months ago and I read on the net that it can lead to cfs however when I said this to my doctor she didn't seem too bothered. In fact she didn't seem too concerned that I had glandular at all... Is gladulat fever a cause for cfs/me or is me completely different? I had the fatigue part of glandular for about 2 months and if it is the same as me then I know how they must dispair. Are my chances of getting cfs/me increased now I have glandular fever in my system? moreResolved Question: question about depression?
i have suffered with chronic depression for many years and have been on anti-depressants for years. Is there something physiologically different about my brain, is my brain abnormal in some way that causes the illness. Or is it more to do with experiences and upbrining and behaviour? moreResolved Question: I NEED HELP??? Pls save me and my married life?
Married 2 yrs ago...some family issues from in-laws and some mistakes from wife when i was overseas for the 1st two yrs caused panic attacks and severe chronic stress. Now wife lives with me and I love her (and she does too). I dont go anywhere as on off days from work i spend time at home. I do hv a friend for 6yrs and my wife respects her a lot but at times there have been issues where she feels that friend is more imp than her and I try my best to support and convince its not but still...anyways... I've been bullied in my childhood and suffered from negligence but Im a strong person and my views are positive but I feel I am a bit more pessmistic and I dont want to be bossy but lately, I've had some arguments with my wife which are now growing to be once a fortnight and I end up being loud and violent a couple of times...I feel terribly ashamed of my actions but in my only defence its only because she is so argumentative and naively narrow minded. For some reason it feels she likes hurting me. Only times I've been violent is when she repeats hurting sentences which cuts deep and I end up being violent just to shut her up. Please help me and save my life as I want to but my wife is so egoistic that my life my end in a divorce and she won't care but I do and I don't want to ruin my life and expect this sort of attitude to go in my children (obviously from me too being violent) ... Please share experiences, advice, lessons and help. I really need it. There is no one other than YA I can rely on.Sorry folks, I am not using my childhood as an excuse but well spotted. It's just that all I want is peace, love, care and being together as I want her to be with me. All in all I want is her to atleast try and understand and be a worthy wife to atleast listen to what I say. All I do is be true, open and honest to her....and I tell her all that happens, happened and to happen but she ends up suspecting OR forcing what she feels is right to her. Atleast she can be a worth wife to be silent so I can share and plan and do things for her. I know YA cannot help but I appreciate all that you share. It means a lot. moreResolved Question: Could we see an end to Terrorist actions?
Press Release: Union Negotiations Muslim suicide bombers in Britain are set to begin a three-day strike on Monday in a dispute over the number of virgins they are entitled to in the afterlife. Emergency talks with Al Qaeda management have so far failed to produce an agreement. The unrest began last Tuesday when Al Qaeda announced that the number of virgins a suicide bomber would receive after his death will be cut by about 15% next January from 72 to only 60. The rationale for the cut was the increase in recent years of the number of suicide bombings and a subsequent shortage of virgins in the afterlife. The suicide bombers' union, the British Organization of Occupational Martyrs (or B.O.O.M.) responded with a statement that this was unacceptable to its members and immediately balloted for strike action. General Secretary Abdullah Amir told the press, "Our members are literally working themselves to death in the cause of Jihad. We don't ask for much in return but to be treated like this by management is a kick in the teeth." Mr. Amir accepted the limited availability of virgins but pointed out that the cutbacks were expected to be borne entirely by the workforce and not by management.. "Last Christmas Abu Hamza alone was awarded an annual bonus of 250,000 virgins," complains Amir. "And you can be sure they'll all be pretty ones too. How can Al Qaeda afford that for members of the management but not 72 for the people who do the real work?" Speaking from the shed in the West Midlands in which he currently resides, Al Qaeda chief executive Osama bin Laden explained, "We sympathize with our workers' concerns but Al Qaeda is simply not in a position to meet their demands. They are simply not accepting the realities of modern-day jihad, in a competitive marketplace. Thanks to Western depravity, there is now a chronic shortage of virgins in the afterlife. It's a straight choice between reducing expenditure and laying people off. I don't like cutting wages but I'd hate to have to tell 3,000 of my staff that they won't be able to blow themselves up." He defended management bonuses by claiming these were necessary to attract good, fanatical clerics. "How am I supposed to attract the best people if I can't compete with the private sector?" asked Mr. Bin-Laden. Talks broke down this morning after management's last-ditch proposal of a virgin-sharing scheme was rejected outright after a failure to agree on orifice allocation quotas. One virgin, who refused to be named, was quoted as saying "I'll be buggered if I'm agreeing to anything like that.........it's too much to swallow". Unless some sort of agreement is reached over the weekend, suicide bombers will down explosives at midday on Monday. Most branches are supporting the strike. Only the North London branch, which has a different union, is likely to continue working. However, some members of that branch will only be using waist-down explosives in order to express solidarity with their striking brethren. Spokespersons in the North East of England, Essex, North Kent and the entire Australian continent stated that this would not affect their operations as "There are no virgins in their areas anyway". moreResolved Question: Getting over my fear of drawing...?
I went to College in the morning for my review of my work and how I've been getting on, seeing as I only started College in September. I'm not gonna lie, I know i've been piss taking in terms of getting my work done over the last few months and i have not been putting 100% into my work (especially fine art). When I sat down she said I need show off my talent and have more confidence in my work, as I have alot of potential to do well. She talked to me about how i could experiment with different ways to visually communicate my work to people, so it shows off what I can do and that I have an understanding that if I draw my work in one way it will cause people to react in a certain way blah, blah, blah. I know deep down I can do so much more, but I really do worry about trying new things when I draw in case it goes wrong (and I know you can't really go wrong with art). Even in Secondary School my art teacher would claim i'm too much of a "perfectionist", which is not true, and I need to just do the work instead of working slowly and actually get stuck in and try new things. Which is what I really need to do, but it's like i have a chronic fear of using colour in my work, like using paints, because i usually just use chalks and pencil. I've probably wrote too much, but what I really just want to know, is if people have any ideas as to I can start to break my comfort zone and just draw without any fear that I could go wrong. moreResolved Question: Quitting smoking feels good, but is it actually because of that?
I am early 20s, and have smoked since i was 16 so a fair few years now, i used to have chronic tonsillitus, literally every 2 months or so without failure, until i had my tonsils out 12 months ago and i have to say, its the best thing ive ever done, i never have felt so healthy in my life. I decided to follow this up a week ago with quitting smoking, now.... as much as i felt healthier with the tonsils gone, i still got regular aches/pains. I quit smoking 1 week ago, and i have not had a single ache or pain anywhere, for the first time in a long time. Can this be attributed to quitting smoking? I have heard lots about people feeling terrible after quitting smoking, but all i feel is fantastic, can breath much better after only 1 week, can smell more, can taste more, feel more energetic, can cigarette smoke really have caused my aches and pains or is it just coincidence? moreResolved Question: Should I consider food allergy tests?
I'm fairly certain I'm allergic or sensitive to mint (causes stinging, sneezing, coughing, throat tightening and nausea) and apples (causes major stomach cramps), they aren't life-threatening just unpleasant. I'm thinking if I have these maybe I have sensitivity to similar foods. I suffer from chronic headaches and migraines that no one can seem to explain and are a major disruption to my life, I had issues with IBS a few years ago, and suffer dark circles under my eyes - all may be a sign of food sensitivity. Is it worth doing? I've heard of so many cons with overpriced inaccurate food sensitivity tests on the high street, so what is the best way to get tested? Do the NHS perform allergy tests or not? moreResolved Question: Damp in rented house causing health problems - no break out clause?
We are currently renting and have 4 more months on the tenancy agreement left however we are desperate to get out.
