Sales Supply Questions and Answers
Resolved Question: Does this sound like a conclusion that will get me a distinction?
It's for business A Level. Employing someone with suitable communication and personal attributes for the customer service executive post is highly advantageous to Truck Supplies Ltd and indeed highly important to any organisation. The author believes that the customer service executive has two main job roles: working with the business’ customers and working with the business’ employees. By working with both groups of people, an organisation can soon boast of excellent customer services. Business managers can decide to train their staff on customer services improvement using in-houses methods (themselves) or by out-sourcing but in the end, these methods become a waste of time and money respectively compared with hiring a customer service executive. With a customer service executive, Truck Supplies Ltd can provide in-house training through an employee knowledged to know that customer services is an important branch of every organisation and experienced enough to know methods with which business employees can improve their service to customers. As a bonus, this will not cost the business any extras as outsourcing would because it is part of the customer service executive’s job description. Not only does the executive have to have to be experienced in customer service but it is necessary that they are good with people so that the training process goes as smoothly as possible meaning there are no arguments, employees don’t feel like the customer service executive is too authoritative with them and they actually enjoy the training session so that they are more likely to remember everything they are taught. Further to increasing customer service knowledge among employees, an executive who is a good team player will inevitably help with team building by creating better team players among staff members. This is beneficial to a business because employees who work better as teams instead of individually always fulfil objectives and tasks quicker. In respect to Truck Supplies Ltd, the executive will inevitably increase sales for the business by investigating the website’s development. IT literacy has an important part to play in this sales increase because the customer service executive will not be able to begin investigating without adequate knowledge of IT applications that can be used to set up transactional features on the website. As most businesses (if not all) make use of IT equipment in their daily routine, it would be scarce to find an experienced job candidate who has no experience with using the most basic IT equipments. Businesses need to comprehend that hiring an employee without such experience would leave them at a disadvantage money and time wise. Whether it is a friendly chat to a co-worker or a formal meeting with business partners, employees will always have to communicate frequently within the workplace. A professional business employee should be able to adapt the methods of communication to suit the different situations of which are being received. Every employee of an organisation should be professional and focused enough to know what situations warrant what methods of communication. For example, when the customer service executive learns that they have the task of persuading potential customers of the benefits of purchasing spare parts from Truck Supplies Ltd, it is essential that they obtain some idea of the make-up of the audience before preparing the communication. With this information, they should be skilled enough to decide on making use of formal and engaging communications like presentations alongside favourable business reports or even video conferences if the situation warrants. If this is done with a professional approach, the potential customers should be impressed and choose to purchase from Truck Supplies Ltd. If not, the business thereby loses important customers. moreResolved Question: how to earn money fast for a puppy in 2 months?

Although It's been a few months it now turns out I won't get everything promised when I took it. Compag stratia and a+ course out in january of this year and the sales rep that came and sold it too me made it sound really good. Upon starting the course I feel really let down, what it teaches is you is beyond basic and I don't see it as beneficial to me at all. I was told I would have to send assignments of to my tutor which he would grade which turned out to be a small quiz 6-8 questions and is graded by computer response. They also promised me a tool kit complete with the course which I did not receive. I emailed them about it and only received emails back about other courses to finally be contacted a month ago saying the people who supplied them have discontinued them so they will now knock £15 of my last payment for the course. Does this mean I now have a right to cancel as they have not supplied me with all they have promised? This course is very costly and it really does not seem beneficial to me in any way. Please help. moreResolved Question: What does the Sale of Supply and Goods Act involve?

For 5mths they took my mortgage insurance as a disposable income, drove me to virtually a breakdown and now the bank has categorically stated that I have no disposable income supplied by themselves- they pay my insurance straight to the mortgage as intended on the sale of the insurance. The DWP/benefits agency are saying that they still want to pay the bank £76.00 a week and me 20p a week. This contravenes EU laws surely when they are responsible for providing me with living resources? I have no money coming from anywhere- I am on jobseekers allowance because I refused to break the law at a company- that got shut down by the HSe and I cannot be expected under law to survive on 20p a week. The bank that sold me my total mortgage protection would have been under the miss sold policies judgement should they have not ensured my mortgage was paid and so the benefits agency , after me paying around £10,000 tax each year, is obliged to give me jobseekers allowance- but how can they break the law and get away with it?I wasn't on good wages- I was doing 71hrs a week and nights away from home.Thankyou everyone bar 'simon' who doesn't know he is breaking the rules by getting personal and calling me a 'screw up'. C.A.B. have been no help whatsoever, I believe Mansfield cab are actually in collusion with the DWP. If there is anyone else that might know a little bit about law- I would be grateful? moreVoting Question: Neighbour dispute over water supply - help!?
The house attached to ours is up for sale (hooray!). The stop tap for water supply for the two properties is situated in next door's boiler house. The boiler house is attached to their utility room (which is bolted from the inside so you couldn't get into their house) and access can be gained from an outside door. We've asked the neighbours (politely) to give us a key, so we have 24/7 access to the water supply. They have refused because 'I keep my saddle in there' (they have horses). They have asked us to contribute to the running of the water pump (electricity money), which is about £6 per month. We said we are happy to do this (and sign a written agreement) when they give us 24/7 access to our water. On two occasions previously, the water has been switched off (once by their joiner, who did it accidentally) and we have no way of switching the water back on until they return from work. They didn't leave a key when they went on holiday for ten days! We did put our concerns in writing, requesting the key to the boiler house. Their response was to hold a disco a few days later, so loud that we couldn't hear ourselves speak. We are now at stalemate. As their house is up for sale, do they need to disclose this problem to prospective buyers, perhaps in their HIPS pack? Would this be classed as a neighbour dispute? Advice would be appreciated.Sorry, I omitted to say that the water supply is via a borehole, which is shared between the two properties, with the pump and stop tap being in next door's boiler house! moreResolved Question: What are the laws on contact lens sales?
I work in an opticians in Ireland and we regularly have customers from foreign countries coming in looking for contact lenses because they have misplaced there own etc. And in Ireland its illegal to supply a Px with contacts that does not have an Rx that is in date by a year. Most tourists that hear this are shocked and some can get a bit aggressive over it! Im just wondering what is the law on selling contacts in other countries or if there is even a law on selling them? And are you happy with the rules set in place or would you like it to change? Sorry about the random question im just interested to find out more about this it may help me in my day to day dealing with aggravated customers moreResolved Question: supply and sale of goods?
hi i was sold a cctv system for my private home by the market leader in such products and I parted with part payment (£5565) with balance for the sum of £7500+ VAT on completion. The specification was designed and proposed by the supplier. The order was signed off in Sept 08, The works started in Jan/Feb 09, Completed 3rd Oct 09. In Feb 09, the neighbour called the local council with regards to the equipment installed ( 2 x dome cameras on a 6 metre pole and 1 x static Infra Red camera on a 3 m pole) in the garden within our property. The council contacted me to request planning permission, but then took their time to confirm whether cctv requires planning permission as I forwarded them an e-mail I got from the supplier confirming that they had installed hundreds of the same in other private dwellings and there had never been the need for planning permission and so they did not believe that it was needed. As the council did not get back to me swiftly and the contractor was pushing to complete the works, I had allowed the contractor to finish the install as he was adamant no permission was required. However a few days after installation was completed the council called again as the neighbour had called them to say we had fitted the cameras onto the poles completely as previous to this it was just poles erect fitted to the ground from Feb 09 - 1st Oct 09. Planning was submitted and in Nov 09, it was rejected and I wrote a letter to contractor to remedy the problem with a solution that will be acceptable to the local council. Things are about to turn legal and the supplier is not accepting liability for the advice that was given at the time when the issue had arisen. I have sent him notice to resolve the issue quoting the Supply of Goods & Services Act 1982 and detailed that they had failed to take reasonable care and skill. I have given them 14 days to get back to me with an answer to solve the issue as already a large sum of money is spent and they are requesting the balance, but I have written to them in Nov 09 requesting a refund if they can not resolve the problem. I have also forwarded them details of the permitted development rights for cctv under article 33 for their reference also. Advice as to the legal position will be appreciated as the supplier is not accepting responsibility. I have told them to collect it if they can not fix the problem with respect to the installation conflicting with local and national legislation. thank you moreVoting Question: New car gearbox failed completely after about ten months. What are my rights?
In May 2009 I had a new gearbox fitted to my car which has just failed. I live in the UK and believe that, under the Sale of Goods Act, I could argue that this brand new gearbox should have lasted longer than the ten months and 10,000 miles usage or so that it did and therefore ought to be replaced free of charge by the garage that supplied and fitted it. Anybody have anything like this happen to them? And if so then what did you do about it? Any advice would be gratefully received. Thank you in advance.@Twisted_ace The gearbox is an automatic! Even the worst driver in the world couldn't wreck it... except by slamming the thing into reverse while going forward, which hasn't happened! moreResolved Question: Any sales tip for business to business sales?

I applied for a house and filled in an application form. I paid my fee and then got a call from them. I was asked me loads of intrusive questions about why I wanted to move, what my house was worth and if we were selling etc etc. (partner and I are separated). He also said I needed to supply 3 payslips, 3 bank statements, several utility bills, council tax statement and 2 other forms of ID. He then went on to ask if I could afford the property! I didn't answer any personal questions about my property and told him that all utilities were in my exes name and he was funny and went on about being messed about. He said I had to provide all these documents or I could'nt have the house! Seems very unreasonable to me and I told him so. I then asked for my money back and he refused saying the search had already been carried out. I don't think this is right at all. Can anyone explain if he was within his rights to: Ask me several personal questions about the sale or not of my home Refuse to grant me the house because I couldn't provide a utility bill. Thanks. moreResolved Question: Argos Furniture Suppliers?

I live in Portsmouth, I bought an on-line course through Shields Ltd doing an IOSH ms and NEBOSH construction cert last April. When I bought the course, Exams where held at Cheltenham and Hull, I have friends in Bristol, So Cheltenham was feasible. when I bought the course it was on the proviso that I could do the exam in Cheltenham and paid for the course and exam registration fees in one go. since I started the course, Shields Ltd have closed their exam centre in Cheltenham, I found this out when I went to register for the exams that this is from a lack of demand and the only option is now Hull. The company failed to notify anyone of this change either in the Forums or by any other method. If Hull had been my only option when I bought the course, I would not have done it through this company. Last known exams at cheltenham where June. If I had received an email explaining this, I would have met the deadline for the last exams, even if I had done the whole course 24hrs a day. I have phoned Shields and their email response was to either offer me a refund of the £90 exam registration fee and to sort myself out at a more local test centre or a free 1 day master class in hull (this would mean 2 trips to Hull). the local test centre costs £90 + £70admin for the two written papers and £60 for the practical - these costs where obviously wrapped up in the course costs with Shields. In my mind, Shields have broken the description and condition of sale and because they failed to notify anyone, including me, they should be responsible for arranging the exams within a similar distance as Cheltenham (at least). Whilst they can offer me a refund, I don't believe that I am obliged to accept it as they entered into a contract to supply a service. I believe these are the main point, If someone could either back my train of thought up or correct me before I go 'hollier than thou' at Shields, it would be appreciated. moreResolved Question: Have u been a victim of this scam at Walmart?
A ‘heads up’ for those men who may be regular Walmart customers. This one caught me by surprise. Over the last month I became a victim of a clever scam while out shopping. Simply going out to get supplies has turned out to be quite traumatic. Don't be naive enough to think it couldn't happen to you or your friends. Here's how the scam works: Two seriously good-looking 20-21 year-old girls come over to your car as you are packing your shopping into the trunk. They both start wiping your windshield with a rag and Windex, with their breasts almost falling out of their skimpy T-shirts. It is impossible not to look. When you thank them and offer them a tip, they say ‘No’ and instead ask you for a ride to McDonald’s. You agree and they get into the back seat. On the way, they start undressing. Then one of them climbs over into the front seat and starts crawling all over you, while the other one steals your wallet. I had my wallet stolen October 4th, 9th, 10th, twice on the 15th, 17th, 20th, 24th & 29th. Also November 1st & 4th, Twice on the 8th, 16th, 23rd, 26th & 28th, three times last Monday and very likely again this upcoming weekend. So tell your friends to be careful. P.S. Walmart has wallets on sale for 2.99 each. moreResolved Question: Making things from clay.?
My friend and i bought some dax clay and cutters you use in cooking, we made hearts stars butterflies etc and it was so much fun a lot of it got wasted but what was left we are going to paint and decorate and take them to boot sales. We want to start making loads of things like fairy's angels bows etc . Does anybody know where i can get a book from that supplies all these things. Is it better to do it by using what we use or getting powder plaster and moulds, any help would be appreciated. We tried to find arts and craft class near us but there were none, but we would like to do it from home anyway, thankyou moreResolved Question: Windows first quote £7,400.00p second quote £3,700.00 final quote £2,539.00 all from the same firm?
I had most of my windows done by Zenith a few years ago, I couldn't afford to have them all done so waited until I could before completing the job. I have now saved up and so asked for a quote to replace the rest, Sliding door (2.7mtrs wide), and 3 very small windows, downstairs loo, a small one half way up the stairs, and on in the upstairs bathroom. I told them that I did not need a full sales pitch as I want the same system as is fitted in the rest of the house. They insisted that both my wife and I were at home, which was annoying because I had made it clear that I may not go ahead depending on the price. Long story short, the sales guy does the whole pitch even though I cut him off a couple of times and told him that what I already had was what I want. Still he goes through it. Eventually I told him to stop. That I was losing interest and that he needed to cut to the chase. He took measurements, not with a digital device but a tape measure which he really didn't hold too still so the actual measurements would be roughly accurate but there is no way they would be 100%. He then hits me with quote 1, he really beat about the bush getting there but eventually he comes up with £7.4k I told him that this was way over my budget. He phones his manager and is loudly describing us as a very nice couple with a lovely home etc, he then thanks the manager (or whoever it was) and comes back at me with a quote of £3.7K. Still too much, he writes it down and says the quote is valid for 3 Months or whatever, and as he is leaving asks me just how much I thought it should cost. I told him that I had envisaged a figure of around £2.5k, he thanked me and left. Next day out of the blue I get a call from Zenith "Commercial" who just happen to be doing major works at a Navy base near by and using the measurements supplied by the rep they feel they could do it for a figure of £2,539.00 If they can do it and make a profit using the last figure, how could they possibly justify either of the first two. There is nearly £5k between them, no wonder the double glazing industry has a bad name. Question is do I trust the last figure as being the cheapest I can get from them. Thanks all of you so far, I was going with Zenith because I had already had some work done and to be fair I like the profile etc, but having read the answers so far I will definately be getting other quotes, the Gosport one (if it is the one in Hampshire, is not a million miles from me so I will look them up. Many thanks for all the useful information. moreVoting Question: How to Becoming the New Entrepreneur?

I'm confused between VAT and Limited Company! Am I right that you can register for VAT and get a VAT number (paying VAT on sales and claiming on importing and buying stock/supplies), although becoming a limited company is totally separate? I turnover £30,000 PA and my last question is the minimum age! Can under 18's (or under 16's) become VAT registered or start up a Limited Company? Sorry just so confused and cant find the answers. I thought I knew this stuff but obviously not. How much paperwork is VAT and Limited Company? Thanks for your help! moreResolved Question: Would anyone like to give me some business advice? Baked good related?
I have recently started my own cupcake company, we sell at food events, markets, etc and some weeks we do really well, and others not so well, our cupcakes look amazing, we do really nice flavours that others cupcake companies don't and we try to think out of the box when we are looking at events. We don't have the funds to buy a shop at the mo, and our start up costs have escalated quite a bit. The advice I would like is how to maximize sales, we have thought abuot buying a coffee machine, but like I said money is short, plus the competition to supply coffee is high. We do other things, like cookies, big cakes, truffles, and some seasonal stuff, which we will be concentrating on over Xmas, and also have tapped into the wedding market and that is all going well at the moment. So anyone got any advice for me? Oh and we went round all the little cafes in town with free cupcakes, and a trade price list, but got nada. Any advice would be greatly appreciated! many thanks in advance. moreResolved Question: Oil prices- bulk sale?
When you read in the newspaper that Brent crude is trading at $75 a barrel today how does that apply to real life? We consume 90 million barrels of oil a day, is each of those barrels sold for $75? Also, surely BP, Texaco etc and any petrol/gas station cannot plan properly if its subject to the whims of the market, if one day its paying $75 for a barrel of oil and $100 the next and $30 the next how can it adequately plan? Do they order a full month or full year's supply at a fixed price, probably a premium to the spot price (i.e. its trading at $70 on January 1st so an oil broker agrees to sell them 1 million barrels over the course of the next 12 months at $80 a barrel). So they pay a premium for the benefit of security, being able to know exactly how much the oil will cost? moreResolved Question: anyone heard of james Ladoma?

I will like to proceed with the sale of the car by sealing the deal with a certified banker's draft or Cheque drawn on a UK Bank and have my representative issue out the payment for the car and its transportation would be added to the amount of the car as i will be using my local haulage company to come and collect the car from your location as they would be collecting some other items for me.I would have love to send the payment for the car alone and get the extra issue out to the haulage company but it takes longer to get UK payment cash elsewhere and would cause delay in transaction as i believe we both don't want any delay in the transaction. All necessary papers and document regarding the shipment of the car will be procure by the haulage company and they will also sign all the DVLA forms in your presence when they come for collection. To explain things further, contact me on...07024019707.To bring to your attention, it takes 1-4 working days for a UK bank draft or Cheque to get clear an account.I would want to know if i can rely on you to get the rest of the funds to the haulage company after the receipt of the payment and its authenticity has been confirmed by your bank and cleared your account before proceeding with the rest of the transaction. To make things easier and quicker,i want you to supply me the following details so that payment can be issue out immediately: Your Full name as wanted on the payment:::::::::: Your full postal address(house #,street name,city/town,state and postal code):::::::::: Your contact phone #s Mobile,Landline:::::::::: Thanks and i will be looking forward to read from you... I am selling my jewellery in aid of a local charity at a craft fair this weekend and i don't know what percentage of my sales I should donate. I need to make some money for myself to get back what I have spent in supplies and hopefully make a little bit of profit, but I want to be able to give a decent donation. moreResolved Question: Is it finally time to raise gas taxes?
Here's a chart showing differences between developed countries: http://fueltaxinquiry.treasury.gov.au/content/Submissions/Industry/images/Sasol_198-32.gif It's from 2001 but although prices have increased, countries' tax rates havn't changed much. You'll notice the US has the lowest taxes in the developed world. Making an argument for low taxes based on population density doesn't work - Norway, Sweden, Finland, Australia, Canada and New Zealand all have lower densities. Is it time for a significant tax rise in the US, perhaps up to a middle-ish level, like say Germany? Im not saying tax people out of their cars, for example in the UK, even with the high taxes, cars still dominate transportation, with motorists averaging 12000 miles a year. A tax increase would encourage the choice of efficient vehicles and manufacturers to invest in and sell them. Considering oil prices are likely to be a lot higher in 20 years time and continue increasing based on simple supply (decreasing) and demand (increasing from China, India etc), and the whole economy will take decades to adapt to a non-oil based economy. Surely the sooner the US begins the transition away from oil, the less costly it will be economically in terms of job losses, earnings, forced relocations etc. We need as long as possible to adapt. When oil prices rise significantly from current levels, which no one is really doubting they will, whether its 10, 20, 30 years time, how will the USA remain competitve against Europe and Japan, where oil is already used much more efficiently. Furthermore, along with encouraging more efficient use of oil and alternative fuels, the environment would benefit hugely from the reduction in co2 emissions and pollution, and the extra tax revenues could be put to good use in any way you can think of. For example, subsidise trains and buses or income or sales tax cuts equal to the increase in tax revenue from fuel. And considering the argument that heavy industry will be lost, Germany and Japan seem to manage pretty well with higher taxes as exporters of industrial manufactured goods eg cars. moreResolved Question: I have built a Recruitment Consultancy website but now need a CMS - how on earth do I do that?
I am an experienced Recruitment Consultant who has decided to team up with a bunch of colleagues to go it on our own and start up our own Recruitment Consultancy. Now none of us are naturally gifted when it comes to html and computery stuff however we have managed to create our first draft of the website using Wix.com and I must admit that it is really starting to look quite snazzy. The problem is that we now need to develop a CMS that will make updating the site with our latest jobs and blogs nice and easy. We also want to be able to provide a system where candidates can supply their information (including CV) through the website directly on to our candidate database software. We are planning to use a piece of software called RDB Pro that will act as a database for all our candidates and clients. So we have the website and we have the database software but how on earth do we get/create a cms that can integrate with both and also let us upload and manage our web content easily. I know that in business one of the greatest hurdles to overcome is getting a system where the user can focus entirely on the stuff that generates the sales and doesnt have to muck about with all the technical mumbo jumbo and that is why I am so keen to get this bit right! We have not allowed anything in the budget for this so it will have to be something that is "home cooked". I dont mind spending a lot of time getting things right at this point as I feel it will be beneficial in he long term so am happy to spend hours mucking about learning how it can be done but would be gratefull if someone could point me in the right direction. Surely there are some open source applications that could help me out? moreResolved Question: Is trading in small cap companies more profitable in because of large swings in supply and demand?

"used cars - consumer rights (for England, Wales and Northern Ireland) When you buy goods from a trader, you enter into a legally binding contract governed by the Sale of Goods Act 1979, as amended by the Sale and Supply of Goods Act 1994 and the Sale and Supply of Goods to Consumers Regulations 2002. If you buy a used car from a trader it must be of satisfactory quality, fit for the purpose, and as described. Obviously a very old car with a high mileage will not be as good as a newer car with a low mileage, but it should still be fit for use on the road, in a condition which reflects its age and price, and reliable. Traders cannot take away consumers rights by using terms such as ‘sold as seen’. Your legal rights are reduced if you buy a car from a private seller or an auction. If you buy a used car via the internet, you may have additional rights under the Distance Selling Regulations. If you have a problem with a used car, you have a short time after buying it to reject the car. If the fault was present when you bought the car, you do have other remedies such as repair or replacement. It is recommended you always follow up complaints with the details in writing, and keep copies of all correspondence. As a last resort, you may need to consider taking court action. Remember, used cars may have some faults, but they should not be excessive. Fair wear and tear is not considered to be a fault." i bought my 1995 car 3 weeks ago and the water pump on it has just broken, when the dealer said all the engine was fine when i bought it, however it doesnt come with a warranty, but can i use this trading standard advice/law against the dealer with this? moreResolved Question: i am looking for a wee bit of second hand fimo?

Hello, Thanks for the email and for your prompt response.I am satisfied with the condition of the car and am okay with the cost price and also offer you an additional £100 to secure the deal and also for you to keep the car for me while payment is being process. To explain things further, contact me on...07035941502.To bring to your attention, it takes 1-4 working days for a UK bank draft or Cheque to get clear an account.I would want to know if i can rely on you to get the rest of the funds to the haulage company after the receipt of the payment and its authenticity has been confirmed by your bank and cleared your account before proceeding with the rest of the transaction. I ordered a kitchen from MFi in Oct 08, when I went to pay the full amount on my debit card the sales lady advised me not to pay on my debit card as she tought that the branch was going to go bust and sold off in a couple of days and to take the finance option with black horse finance and then I would be safe and not lose any money and would be able to deal with another local branch and pay by cash when it was deemed safer or after I had taken delivery of the kitchen. Evidently that did happen so I then was in touch with the other branach they organised my delvery etc. After taking delivery of my kitchen in Nov 08 I was well aware that the MFI policy was any missing items were to be reported within 72hrs, as I was not able to get the kitchen fitted for 3 weeks I wasnt able to see if there was any of the kitchen missing at that time, however at the time of assembly we found that a significant amount of the kitchen was missing. Unfortunalty this was in the same week that MFI went bust all together so I was not able to contact them for a any missing parts etc, so I had to pay exsortion amounts of money for the missing pieces on the internet. After 3 months of no payments being taken from Black Horse I rang them and they said they had no record of me and to email an enquires dept at MFI, I did so (and still have the email) and asked them to supply the finance docs as it was a rushed situation and I was not quite sure what I had signed and wanted to pay the full amount there and then. I have had no reply until today (8 months later) from MFI asking for the full amount, I have now spent the money and cant afford to pay the monthly payment. Is it fair that that they have taken so long to come back to me when I was willing to pay the full amount in the first place and I only got 1/2 a kitchen? moreResolved Question: Do you think my wands will be saleable?

Hi, My names John and i am thinking of starting an office supplies company (business to business), Now we would sell the office supplies over the telephone and face to face, all i want to know is does anyone think that this is a good idead? (businesses alwaya need supplies, Ink & toner, paper, staples etc etc etc), Now please think about your answers before you just start typing away, as someone called SEWRROBB has severley pissed me off, telling me i will not make any profit, Now heres come examples for you to base your answers on, at first we will be working from a huge annex at the end of a garden which already has telephone lines and broadband installed (as it once used to be an office for an internet dating site or something)we will have to pay no rent as it is family, we already have suffcient amount of computers, printers, and furniture, We would cold call every type of company in the UK no matter how big or small, and attempt to sell them office supplies (which i have done before at another company and was on a 2,500 profit target a week) Here are some general examples of the amount of profit we can make from one phone call, i recently rang a small day nursery in scotland, she said she had an epson printer, i sai ok how much do you pay? she said £12.99 per cartridge from staples... ok (now we get the same cartridges for around 60-70 pence) so i said ok if you take say 5 full sets of cartridges i can beat the price your paying at the moment and do them for £8.99, so i made well over £8 profit on each cartridge!! x that by 20 and thats £160 profit on 5 minutes, i package the goods (2 minutes) and then send them via royal mail so about £1.69, and thats for 10 minutes work, do that 6 or 7 times a day and well you can work out the profit :) then if i hired say 10 sales rep's on £187.50 basic wage a week, and they sold that much that would make sooo much money, even if i paid the reps 10% commission on top of there wages!!!Thank you someone finally with some sense!! :) thanks!yes we do not tend to sell packagin though!, andmost stuff like pinter paper and stationery go diret to our customer under plain label from our supplier so no storage space needed moreResolved Question: I need help with accounting, I have some of it done, having problems with the cash disbursement journal?

hello, yesterday i started a new job (which i havnt returned to) as there were so many concerns i had with the company. Now the one i was mostly concerned with was regards to the regulation by the fsa. The company sells mobile phone contracts and they are all supplied with the first months insurance free of charge. If a customer asked for it to be removed before it was sent then we were advised to tell them that it couldnt be done but they could cancel as soon as they got it. The area i was concerned with was that there were many 16 year old school leavers working there. Now as far as im aware you have to be over 18 years old to sell an insurance product? am i wrong? now i dont know if they put this insurance on with every sale so that they can get around the fact that 16 year olds are not selling insurance however the way i see it is that if it cannot be removed at point of sale customers may ask questions about the policy which i dont legally think a 16 year old would be allowed to comment on? i am considering raising this to fsa so just wanted to check my facts before i contacted them as i believe this to be an illegal practice. moreResolved Question: Online shop - Perishable Goods,?

How far do these two accounts agree about prohibition? SOURCE A Historians disagree about what was mainly responsible for the introduction of Prohibition. By 1917, twenty-three states had already introduced a ban on alcohol. Among possible explanations we must include the bad influence of saloons, the wartime concern for preserving grain for food, feelings against the German-Americans who were important in brewing and distilling, and the influence of the Anti-Saloon League at a time when large numbers of men were absent in the armed forces. Most important of all was the moral fervour inspired by the ‘War to Make the World Safe for Democracy’. But whatever the causes of Prohibition, there can be little disagreement about its consequences. It created the greatest criminal boom in American history, and perhaps in all modern history. No earlier law produced such widespread crime. For no earlier law had gone against the daily customs, habits and desires of so many Americans. From an American history book, published in 1973. SOURCE B Before the First World War organisations such as the Women’s Christian Temperance Union had joined in a crusade against one of the great evils of the times — alcoholism. In 1917 a nation-wide campaign, led by the Anti-Saloon League, brought pressure to bear on Congress to ban the use of grain for either distilling or brewing. That victory encouraged the supporters of the League to push for an amendment to the Constitution of the USA. In 1919 the amendment was passed and the manufacture, sale and transportation of liquor was banned. The first Prohibition Commissioner had no doubts that he would stamp out the evils of drink. To help him, 1500 Prohibition agents were appointed. By 1928 there were more than 30,000 ‘speakeasies’ in New York. Gangsters like Dutch Schulz and Al Capone had turned the avoidance of Prohibition into big, violent business. ‘Prohibition is a business’, said Capone, ‘all I do is supply a public demand.’ From a book about American history, published in 1979. moreResolved Question: hahahaha gutted...!!!!?

All PC casings require power supply units. These PSUs are mostly of a standard size which make them big and bulky. Because of this, many Desktop PCs are also big and bulky to accommodate these bulky PSUs. Do they sell small sized PSUs? Are smaller sized PSUs available for sale? I asked this because my friend just acquired a new PC casing for her system. She needs to transfer all the components, such as motherboard, DVD Drive and hard disk from the old casing to the new. However, when she came to the PSU, she realised it cannot fit into the new casing as the new casing is too slim to accommodate the old PSU. Barclay's owns Absa, Standard Chartered is part Chinese owned, what next, is Naspers going to be bought by News Corporation? For those who study economics such as myself they will realise this sort of foreign direct investment only has superficial gains, it may raise the country's GDP figure but it will ultimately reduce the country's GNP figure. GNP is much more important thatn GDP. Do you think the sale of Vodacom to Vodafone is good or bad for South Africa and why? Enterprise Ltd (“Enterprise”) is a wholesaler and Purchaser Ltd, (“Purchaser”), a retailer of industrial photocopiers. On 4 February 2009 Enterprise emailed a copy of its brochure to Purchaser advertising the company's products. Anne, acting for Purchaser, emailed Enterprise to advise Ben, the Sales Director, that Purchaser wished to purchase twenty XL models priced in the brochure at £2,300 each. Ben then sent an email to Anne advising her to submit an order on Enterprise's standard order form, a copy of which could be downloaded from the brochure. Anne downloaded and completed the order form and emailed it to Enterprise with a message which concluded with the following statement: "Please note that all orders are submitted subject to Purchaser’s terms and conditions, a copy of which is attached." Twenty XL photocopiers were delivered to Purchaser on 2 March 2009 together with a new edition of Enterprise’s brochure dated 1 March 2009 and an invoice for £50,000. Anne immediately telephoned Ben and said, “There must be an error. We were expecting an invoice for £46,000, i.e. twenty times £2,300.” Ben replied that the invoice was correct as the price of XL photocopiers was increased to £2,500 each on 1 March 2009 and the Enterprise order form which Anne had submitted clearly stated that all goods were supplied "subject to Enterprise's terms and conditions contained within the brochure". One of those terms stated (in small print) that "Customer’s should note that the price of all products shall be that stated in the company’s most recent brochure at the time of delivery of the company’s products.” Ben continued, “The price of the XL has increased to £2,500 and twenty times £2,500 is £50,000”. Anne replied that the purchase had been made subject to Purchaser's terms, one of which clearly stated that "The price for all products purchased shall be fixed at the date of the order and Purchaser will not accept any increase in that price". (a)By reference to case law and statute where appropriate, explain with reasons the legal effect of each communication passing between Enterprise and Purchaser prior to the conclusion of the contract. [20 marks] AND (b)Explain with reasons the point at which the contract was formed and whether Purchaser is obliged to pay the increased price. [10 marks] TURN OVER AND (c)What would the position be if Enterprise sued Purchaser for breach of contract in order to recover the £50,000, and Purchaser argued that there was no contract in force “as there was no intention to create legal relations”? [5 marks] AND (d)Assume that the contract between Purchaser and Enterprise is found to be based on Enterprise’s terms and conditions. (This is no way affects the answer to any of the previous questions.) Assume also that the dispute concerning the £50,000 has been resolved, but one of the photocopiers has proved to be faulty. The faulty copier has been returned to Enterprise several times for repair but the problem has continued. Explain whether Purchaser is entitled to a refund of the purchase price if the contract between Purchaser and Enterprise contains a clause stating: “All express and implied terms and conditions relating to the quality of the products purchased are hereby excluded moreVoting Question: Data warehousing question?

A group of chavs (kids) who are under 18 hang out around the outside of a newsagents a lot. Various customers come in to buy alcohol. You have no means of knowing if they will supply alcohol to the youngsters or not, until several minutes later. It is impractiable to turn down every sale on the grounds they "Might pass it on", especially if the customer has valid ID proving they are aged 18+, as it would cause upset and gossip, dneting custom and would reduce the money gained from that sale. Is it best just to sell the stuff if they're 18+, then call the police if you do see them giving it to the kids. Adults, including older adults have been seen passing alcohol onto kids hanging around outside. This is a major problem where I live. moreSales Supply News
