Medical Equipment Manufacturer Questions and Answers
Resolved Question: What do I do about my unreliable jogger's Heart Rate Monitor?
I gave up on my old HRM a while ago, and decided to buy a new one. I got on a fitness equipment review site, and selected a well reviewed model. Now this new HRM is giving me trouble also. I'm rather frustrated because I consider hitting my target heart rate to be an important part of my fitness program. I've changed the batteries. I've done what I could to clean the contacts, and the area of skin the contacts are put over. I've even used Clearasil figuring that it's skin oil and dirt cleansing qualities might help, and bought electro-conductive gel from a medical supply. I'm considering calling the manufacturers; but I'm afraid that it's not the HRM, but me that's the problem. This is the second HRM this has happened with after all. (It would work fine for the first couple months then it would get less and less reliable.) I'm afraid there's residues in my sweat that are killing electro-conductivity. Please help.Son of a... Your suggestion actually worked, TheDuck. At least as far as lately I couldn't even get the HRM to give me a heart rate at all. I put it on. It gave me a heart rate soon enough; and continued to give me a heart rate for several minutes. It stopped working just now. Not %100 encouraging. Not least of all since I still don't know what the greater problem was; and that seems to be deteriorating. I used a partially soaked Under Armor shirt, which naturally was freezing as I put it on. I'll try it tomorrow for a workout. The critical thing is getting a full workout out of the HRM without it crapping out on me. Even if that works, there's no guarrantees it will work again the next day, or a week from now.Apology accepted Ubermind. I'm afraid that's not anything not well known by users of HRMs. After all I've yet to hear of an HRM working dry. I don't think that Clearasil could cause a problem. Certainly I've only recently started using the Clearasil, and only in the hope that it would help. It should cleanse the skin of things that might interfere with electro-conductivity. It's not like I'm exposed to anything environmental. What's on my skin is what got there through my pores, residues from evaporated sweat. After that wet sweat from the exercise should be fine.Sorry TheDuck, I got ready for my workout, put on the soaked shirt, now luke warm after being put under scalding hot water, put on the chest band, and turned on the HRM. After waiting a couple minutes the watch gave up on getting a heart rate. Unless someone can offer another suggestion, I guess I'm going to have to call the manufacturers. Here's hoping I just have bad luck with receiving defective HRMs. moreResolved Question: Should Health Care companies be allowed to make a profit...or should Doctors be paid minimum wage?
I'm a Liberal, so I think that Health Care is a right...and other people should be FORCED to provide me that right under threat of fine or jail. Nobody in the Health Care industry should be able to profit. Doctors, nurses, research scientists, medical equipment manufacturers, drug makers...they should all make minimum wage and any "profit" should be given to the Government for redistribution. agree or agree?um...disagree was not an option. it's either agree or agree moreResolved Question: Do the Democrats call Republicans the party of no because?

Don't they have profit margins of 3 to 4%?
Over the past year, “the profit margin for health insurance companies was a modest 3.4 percent,” Newman points out, quoting data provided by Morningstar, a company that rates mutual funds. Morningstar would have no reason to low-ball the insurance industry’s profits; its readers are looking for highly profitable sectors of the economy where they can invest. But the health plan industry is not one of those sectors: insurers ranks 87th out of 215 industries. The most profitable industry over the past year has been - beverages, with a 25.9 percent profit margin, - healthcare real-estate trusts (firms that are basically the landlords for hospitals and healthcare facilities) - application-software (think Windows). - oil and gas industry overall was 10.2 percent, three times the margin in the health insurance industry. - high-fliers like Google—which had a 20.6 percent margin - Microsoft, at 24.9 percent. - Pharmaceutical companies 16.4 percent Amgen (biotechnology): Profit margin, 30.6 percent • Gilead Sciences (biotechnology): 37.6 percent • Celgene Corp. MorningStar is an organization who monitors and rates investments. I would not believe the AFL/CIO numbers.DSTR - We are not talking CEO compensation. We are talking overall profit margins. If he made $1 million, would $2 million impact profits all that much?Hey mental case - I think you named yourself appropriately. I am not Paul Grass regardless of how many times you say it. You sound like Obama making false accusations about insurance industry profits. moreResolved Question: Career advice/ what move should I take next to again score a success.?
I am graduate Mechanical engineer(year2000) from Pakistan.Worked 7 years in HVAC&R/industrial plant machinery maintenance profession (more people focused) in Pakistan,Saudi arabia but switched over 7 industries staying not more than an average of 1 year in any job. My motivation was always learning and search for ideal job rather higher salary. Than I did masters in Technical management from germany(year 2008) and also got a job as application engineer for rotating equipment manufacturer in germany. But the job lasted only for 8 months and fired affected by economical crunch. Got married and moved to join my partner in Australia who is junior medical doctor by profession, luckily with a job. Since I arrived here in Australia searching for jobs firstly only for HVACR and now oil and gas reliability engineer or maintenance engineer. I could succeed to score job interviews you can say 10 telephonic interviews for 50 applications. I hired one HR professional who fixed my conventional resume into highly moderinsed according to Aussie standards for 350$ but that could not even helpful for my case. I am listening tv news that unemployment rate is lowered in australia now upto 5.8 somewhere, and the economical turmoil (which had not effected Australia as per local governement) is finsihed now in Australia. I am totally exhausted, frustrated, bored and feeling regretful for moving into Australia. Am confused what to do? where should I go, should I do another masters from local uni or trade diploma course from TAFE which I found in most preferable for local job requirements, or from Germany Uni which is cheaper and previously lucky for receiving such a nice job with good paid salary, benifits, sent me to canada for three months (wow)!!, or shall I change my career purely in mining (best in Australia) at this age of 32 years old. Donot know what to do? Please help me someone out there. If you can hear my voice Plsssssssssss! moreResolved Question: Are expenses for durable medical equipment tax-deductible, if total > 7.5% AGI, ONLY if prescribed by a doctor?
. . . or, is written documentation from the manufacturer that the durable medical equipment device treats a condition, that you have already been diagnosed with by a doctor, considered sufficient to make it a tax-deductible medical expense? moreResolved Question: Is Durbin contradicting himself about finishing health care and focusing on jobs in 2010?
Durbin says that Christmas break will be short to finish Health Care and move on to creating jobs. Forcing employers to increase costs by forcing coverage = lost jobs. New Taxes on manufacturers of medical equipment = higher cost and lost jobs New taxes on Cadillac plans = higher cost and lost jobs More lost jobs = more government spending which means higher taxes = more lost jobs Insurance companies price at cost plus. There are no savings here. Only tax increases that Congress calls savings. The threat of a trigger is ridiculous. Congress will use that to bilk millions more in contributions to themselves, but never kill the golden goose. Just like tort reform. moreResolved Question: Re USA and their health system.?
Why don't the people of the USA demand from their politicians a health system like we have in the UK. My wife & I are pensioners and she is undergoing nerve conduction tests, MRI's and X-rays to help her neurological condition. I too am receiving hospital care for an injured arm. We have paid for this throughout our working lives and now are receiving 'free' attention without fear of losing our savings. The doctors who see us also work in the private sector so quality of care is equal. I read of medical equipment being sold by US manufacturers to Europe for $5,000 but 'at home' for $15,000. Why do not the people of the US rebel against the medical and drug manufacturers who are fearful of loss of their wealth?Intersting early responses. Surprisingly angry though. How protective US citizens are of their financial masters. Your are not protecting your private rights. You're being conned out of your earnings. If we in the UK are experiencing 'socialized medicine' I pray we continue to do so. Perhaps your idea of UK ctizens' view of their 'poor' health service is coloured by media coverage with extreme right wing motives. My experiences of the NHS is pride and relief that I have contentment in retirement.A UK update. Today my wife had an hour on the MRI machine and two hours later another hour with a consultant (who also works in the private sector) having conduction tests (on the nerves). Ipswich hospital was clean and all staff were polite and helpful. Next week I will have an hour in Colchester Hospital with physiotherapy for an arm muscle strain. That hospital too is immaculately clean. And, her being disabled, we get free parking!! And the cost to us? Nothing. We are proud of the peace of mind we get here in the UK. In the US I guess I would have had to sell my house by now moreResolved Question: Should profit motive be in the same room as a dying cancer patient?
Maybe for the medical equipment manufacturers who need profit to keep their factories running. But how about for the doctors, nurses and other care givers. Should the profit motive be on their minds when somebody's mother is dying? I say profit motive for the inanimate objects only. moreResolved Question: Do I have to pay money from a settlement to my insurance company?
I had needed a piece of medical equipment implanted and have had it replaced several times due to defective equipment. I finally received a settlement from the company through a class action lawsuit. Now the lawyer is coming back and saying that the insurance company is wanting a significant amount of that settlement. Can or should i fight this? It isn't like I didn't need the care, shouldn't the insurance company be going after the medical equipment manufacturer? Any help would be greatly appreciated I don't have much time to make a decision. moreResolved Question: Did you know the new healthcare plan by the Finance Committee taxes device manufacturers $4 billion?
Better yet, do you know the reason why? Well it's pretty sneaky, really! Device manufactures make such thinks as EKG's, CAT Scanners, Lab Test Equipment, every surgical instrument ever made, x-ray, etc. And guess who pays for these devices? The patient. Each patient is charged a use fee based on all the devices in the room with the exception of major devices called "capital equipment." Those are billed in the service, such as MRI, CAT scanner, lab test, etc. And who are the patients? 80% are the already insured. IOW, 80% of the patients are going to pay for the taxes on the Device Manufacturers, which will help cover the uninsured that will be covered on the government plan. So you might ask yourself, "Why don't they just tax us instead?" Answer: "You would then know." They don't want you to know. This way, it is almost hidden and they can say they are not taxing you, but taxing those great big rich medical companies. The problem here, unlike the Pharmaceutical companies, most of the best Device Manufacturers are based right here in the USA. No we don't import devices from China or Japan yet, as we are the best at making these things... next best is the UK. Not China, not Japan, not India... only the USA. Believe me, that pacemaker inside your chest was most likely made by Medtronic (Minneapolis, MN), the world leader... ditto that stent that allowed you to avoid open heart surgery... the same products 120 other countries use. So what will our companies do that are taxed so much? Clearly they will sell and concentrate their efforts at locations that will make them the most money... IOW, outside the USA. And with each device, it is governed just like a drug so it goes through FDA testing. These are called "Trials." Many of our schools, doctors, and teaching hospitals are given grants by the device manufacturers to do these trials. Once concentrated in other countries, the dollars will go there and to their medical institutions. Isn't it a shame that a "Finance Committee" would screw us instead of control our/their finances. Folks, it is nothing more than a tax and will drive one of the few high technology companies that are still viable here in the USA into other countries. Who the heck is running the show here anyway?========== No mmm_soylentgreen... this is the real deal. Even a number of democrats are against this. Of course some of these are in states that employ a number of device manufacturing employees. I think what you'll see is a big concern about making it hard for manufacturing companies to compete, but the truth is that it's a sham to find some way to pay for this plan without most people knowing where it is coming from. Also understand that Device Manufacturers do not have the lobby that the Drug manufacturers do.========== http://www.medicaldevices.org/public/ moreResolved Question: Why is Socialism and social programs embraced by so many, even in the U.S.?
Socialism and social programs have proven to be a failure time and time again. Especially in other countries. They are totally unsustainable unless taxation is at horrendous levels. But even with extremely high taxes these ideas and programs still fail. High taxation only leads to less innovation, less inventiveness, less entrepreneurial desire. When was the last time any socialized country came out with an invention, idea, or product that was world renowned, and used by all across the globe that is of high quality and affordable to most people? Major software applications? Nope. Major auto manufacturers that make affordable vehicles? Nope. Weapons systems? Nope. Medical equipment? Nope. These are just a few examples. Liberals often say "well it's better to have something than nothing at all", to which I say we do have something. It's called freedom to choose your own path in life.About the only thing that comes out of European socialist countries of great quantity is wine and cheese. No pun intended.Steven? Yes they have, however, they are now failing and going broke. You and I in all probability will never see one cent of what we've paid into either SSI or Medicaid.Geeeez Bolshevik? Nice copy and paste there.Laffy? Nice typical red herring there. Fire and police services don't violate the "democracy" because they fall under the Constitutional contract. We allow government to exist to provide those services that we cannot provide for ourselves. So, entities such as those mentioned, the military, street departments, and the like are the proper role of government. No Conservative would ever deny that fact. In fact, we Conservatives do believe that government exists ONLY to provide for roads and bridges, civil protections, and national defense.Guru? Every country you listed are none that I know of that people are flocking to move to. Here is a graph that does show more of your 1st world countries. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Income_Taxes_By_Country.svg Notice that, with Ireland as an exception, ALL of the European countries personal income taxes are much higher than ours are now. moreResolved Question: High school chemistry: mass problem?
GenAlex Medical, a leading manufacturer of medical laboratory equipment, is designing a new automated system that can detect normal levels of dissolved phenylalanine (0.8 to 1.8mg/dL), using a blood sample that is as small as 450.μL Calculate the minimum mass in milligrams of phenylalanine that the new system must be able to detect. Doctors and hospitals spend some amount of money (probably a lot) on redundant and even unnecessary tests and procedures due to fear of being sued for malpractice, not to mention the overabundance of paperwork that follows patients around these days. Do you think we could cut costs significantly by the government selling low cost malpractice insurance and reforming the associated tort system? Manufacturers of drugs and medical equipment also pay high premiums. Should the government also offer liability insurance to them? moreResolved Question: How strong is my case against a medical clinic?
I availed of a dermarolling service from a medical clinic. I was guaranteed that 1 equipment that will be used is for my personal consumption 5 times. With all confidence I availed of there service at 70%. after my second treatment I found out that the equipment was for one time used only. So I asked them if they will be changing the equipment every time they told me that "no, It will be used for my entire package" and that the single use statement made by the manufacturer are just marketing strategy. Now I researched about the manufacturer of the dermaroller and its stated that it is for single use only and that there are serious health risk as it is not meant to be reused. What can I file against the clinic? Could I get a refund even though it states in he contract that 'no refund'. Can I also recover my lawyers fee and other incidental cost? Thanks to all tha will help. moreResolved Question: conspiracy theory story idea?
I'm curious to see if there is any of the conspiracy theorist, that always come out of the bushes during a crisis, that have played with the recent possibility of the swine flu? Every time a major event occurs, someone seems to suggest that there is a "power behind the throne". I'm just exploring the idea that a large manufacturer of influenza vaccine could be responsible as a desperate move to jump start the economy, I haven't heard any of these theories yet but the story line is somewhat intriguing. as most know the movie based on Dan Brown's novel Angels and Demons is being released in theaters in May eerily close to the day the illuminati (a secret society based on the idea of creating a New World Order through influence of government and other powerful entities) was founded on May 1st 1776 (which is what Angels and Demons revolves around). the way the stories are told is the Illuminati our a secret global society that influence powerful companies and people in government in order to meet a single goal of controlling the world as they vision it by any means, including causing catastrophe. So, suppose you take this idea and run with it.......... Suppose that the Illuminati have influence in companies that would be responsible for manufacturing the large quantity of influenza vaccine for the new virus as well as companies supplying other medical equipment necessary like gloves, mask and sterilizing equipment; Also suppose they manage a chain of companies that research and create viruses, disease and other forms of biological warfare. Now, imagine those companies being like many in major countries such as the U.S. who are in a failing economy. Wouldn't it be convenient for those countries that there would be a large demand for expensive medical attention to treat a mysterious new strand of influenza in other countries they don't heavily rely on? If this was true, would it be a possibility and what would be the big picture other than to generate large amounts of revenue for these countries, who, would then jump start the economy through "trickle down economics"? P.S. this is just a thought, by no means is this my belief or a serious suggestion, its no more than curiosity to hear from a more educated source what the possibilities are of this idea being expanded on. I'm simply looking for an angle on a story and its easier to relate it when there is a current event that fits the mold and by no means is this intended to be insensitive and I apologize now if anyone has been offended. My heart goes out to the many people affected by the illness world wide.the invisible hand: A term used by Adam Smith to describe his belief that individuals seeking their economic self-interest actually benefit society more than they would if they tried to benefit society directly. It is a similar concept of "power behinde the throne" but of opposite meanning because if the invisible hand of the economy were present then this would be a drive to benifit society through compitition which you could argue that pharmacuetical companies will be competing for the market but the angle i took was that the same "invisible" force or secret society also caused the pandemic that sparked the compitition for the market and Adam Smith's statement was not that dark moreResolved Question: conspiracy theory story possibility?

The manufacturer specifically states to use alkaline batteries but does not mention anything about rechargeable ones. I am considering rechargeable because they are more cost effective. In an Energizer charger package it is stated that rechargeable batteries are not recommended for medical and safety devices. As this is for my mother's blood pressure equipment, I am concerned that rechargeable batteries are not the smartest choice. At the same time, I cannot understand why since the visor of the equipment shows when the batteries are running out of power. moreVoting Question: OEM for Centrifuges,Contract Manufacturing for laboratory equipments?

Since the good ol USA will be moving towards socialized medicine - how will manufacturers of MRI, XRay, Ultrasound, Mammogram, CT, Medical Software, etc be affected? Companies don't hore MORE people when they are losing money."With the current plans, diagnostic equipment such as X-ray machines, ultrasound and other common equipment will likely not be affected much" NOT AFFECTED much? Are you kidding? Have you seen the recent proposed reimbursement rates for diagnostic services? A DEXA Scan (used to diagnose Osteopersis) will be reimbursed about $60. Sixty bucks won't buy any new diagnostic equipment. Reimbursement rates for an MRI study may be cut in half. HALF. How is a hospital going to keep their MRI systems running. CONCORD, N.H. - Since they first walked the planet, humans have either buried or burned their dead. The process is called alkaline hydrolysis and was developed in this country 16 years ago to get rid of animal carcasses. It uses lye, extreme heat and pressure to destroy bodies in big stainless-steel cylinders that are similar to pressure cookers. Section 750.492a Section (3) A health care provider or other person shall not intentionally or willfully alter or destoyor direct another to alter or destroy a patient's medical records or charts for the purpose of concealing his or her responsibility for the patients injury, sickness, or death A health care provider who violates this subsection is guilty of a feloney. a person other than a health care provider who violates this subsection is guilty of a misdemeanor punishable by imprisonment for not more than a year, or a fine not more than $1000,00 or both . In the past investigation into this matter the investigator did not inquire or optain proff that the person that was stating the information was correct, as in the case were I alleged that gel was not used for the test performed on my wife concerning the audio doppler. The investigator asked a nurse specialist if this was true the nurse speacialist stated that sound can still be heard with out using the Gel. In which is against the medical standands due to the machine must be used the way the manufactured instruction say if it is not used in that manner a false or no information can be used due to the gel is the bond between the transducer and the skin. Further more This is not exceptable, We have come into the new age of medicine and to say it is ok to drive a car to its tops speed is safe is not what the law says or the manufacture. A car is to be driven the posted safe speed according to law. The use of medical equipment is to be used in the manner that the instructions says it is to be used and the maunufactures in all doppolars of this type state the same thing, they will not back the finding of anyone not using it in the way it was intended with the gel. Yet I am to understand that the state of michigan is going to back the people that I am makeing a complaint about with out consulthing the manufacturers Or the Medical standands that clearly state it must be used in the manner the instruction book says. Yet the state was told by the people I made th complaint against and took there word that was true. WHY? The altered records. The removal of any record by Doctor Dana Snell or the prevention of her making a record when she was the only medical staff to perform any medical test on the patient and the condition of the fetus before birth. Record 07/16/2000 08:40 Cecelia L Ross RN No FHR heard Dr Snell and Dr Nguyen called to confirm absence of FHR. 08:50 No fetal heart rate detected.pt. and husband informed. IV started and pt admitted to 1185. pt stated she felt last fetal movement yesterday at noon. 07/15/00 Now The above record is the only mention of Doctor Snell. Doctor Snell is not any where else in the records Yet, note that it says no FHR (fetal heart rate) heard. This is where the Gel was important. Doctor Snell did not use any Gel There for all that was heard was static. The PT and Father was notified we were there at the time the test was done, and This record has no mention of the vidieo ultrasound that was use by doctor Dana Snell and she stated out loud to my wife and I "I have a heart beat" pointing at the screen and showing use his heart beat. There is no record at all of Dr. Snell doing this. This was not done by doctor Phan Nguyen as reported in other records. It was a Black lady not an asian laday Also notes that the pt states she last felt fetal movement yesterday at Noon 07/15/00 My wife and I both told them that the last movment was at 01:00 am 07/16/00 at which time she was taking a bath and she called me in to see him moving. Other records recorded (Record 07/16/00 09:15 Dr Phan Gnuyen state that the pt stated she had not felt movement since yesterday morning.) These are attemps by the staff to fix the records to indicate that our son was dead at least 24 hours or more. when in fact we told them 5 to six hours when she took a bath after walking all day at the firemans carnival in clio. Not 12 to 24 hours. Record 07/16/00 09:15 Dr Phan Gnuyen state that the pt stated she had not felt movement since yesterday morning.Nurses couldn't get FHT's on monitor so U/S (bedside) was performed and confirmed no cardiac activeity, no fetal movment.) This person did not do this or any other test on my wife, No nurse did it and no one from radiology did it. it was done by Doctor Dana Snell. The Reason I am adoment about this is she has not made a record to this case and I feel she was not allowed to make a record of it due to she did find a fetal heart rate. When we had a meeting with the hospital on this matter we were told that Doctor Dana Snell did not exsist. there was no black lady that did any thing with my wife, This was told to us in a meeting on Aril 4 2001. attending that meeting was Doctor Larry Young our attending, Debbie Dutton OCNS, Sheila Hopson Social Worker, Greg Knuth Director of risk Management, Joyce Welman Patient rep,Dr Collins Pathology, My wife Amanda Johnson and Myself. We Wanted to know why a heart beat was pointed out and who the black lady was. A rep from radiolgy was called and there was no record found of that department getting any request for a ultrasound done that day for my wife. There was no record of any black lady any where yet I found her when I got the record and read each page looking up every thing I did not know. I Found Dana in the above record by nurse Ross at which time I called Genesys and ask if Dana Snell was a Black lady. I was told by the education dept. that she was and that she started on July 01 of 2000 16 days later she alone did the test on my wife Not even our attending checked my wife before the birth. and then she was removed from the records and the cover up began. Progress Record 07/16/000 9:40 Dr.Phan Nguyen P- (1) Official ultrasound This was not done not even ordered as stated in above the Rep from Radiology stated she never received any orders that day for Amanda Sny (Johnson). This is important due to if a Officail ultrasound would have been performed it would have ended any of this from being questioned. The ultrasound would have been recorded and a record made either way. We was shown a heart beat. they claimed none found. Yet again not done. Now you may say that there was not enough time Yet Dr. Larry Young had time to come from hurley hospital 14 miles away. Doctor Young never once did any test yet in a record he made he bagan to cover his not doing anything by placing this in the Records Progress Record 07/17/00 time ? Dr. larry Young Answer questions re u/s report & cord accident relationship. Emphasize (-) blame in Relationship to delay in.....arrival to hospital. Why would you try to emphasize on the time Well that was a problem as well You see he called and left a message about the u/s that was done on the 11th and he was concerned about IUGR How ever he did not get us so he left a message with a kid a child that to this day feels she killed Zack due to she did not get us the message that by the way was not said to be ergent and did not say to go to the hospital simply call your doctor. We did not here about this until he arrived at the hospital that sunday morning he told us he wanted to do a Emergecy C Section Yet did not state that to any one he called. Larry Young and Phan Nguyen worked together to cover everything they cold to say that our son was dead way befor arriving at the hospital and yet not one did a test to prove one way or another. When the state asked Dr. Nguyen if she did the U/S she said she did and that was the end of that No matter what we told them. This is Funny it was after his birth and his birth weight was 6lbs 7oz No IUGR for 37 week baby and now he is reporting two thrombois??? The baby's Head was normal and the body was normal in size to relationship of his head there was no evidence in the autopsy report of IUGR Yet to look at the records you would think that the baby was way under normal weight. If in fact he would have gained weight to 40 weeks he would have been a large baby to deliver comming in around 9 lbs so what is wrong with this the cover is on going. Progress Record 07/16/000 9:40 Dr.Phan Nguyen P- (3) ? Autopsy (??) delivery , pt to decide . We never took time to decide about an autopsy we wanted it right from the time it was mentioned. This is important due to they knew we wanted it done and yet allowed the body to stay in the room from the time of delivery to 40 minutes after the discharge of the mother. Assesments/notes 15:00 07/17/00 Joanne L Schafer MLPN Discharged Instructions Reviewed and signed by Mom Patient Home ambulatory' in satisfactory condition . Assesments/notes 15:40 07/17/00 Kathkeen M. Obrian, LPN Pathology states infant needs to go to the morgue. Infant taken to Securtity and they put infant in morge. Now in the records there was an attempt to say they had him in the Refrigerator. however he never left the room for more than time enough for us to smoke a Cigarette and they brought him back, the one time as we come down the hall past where they kept him and he was still in the crib and not in a refreigerator of any kind. at 01:18 it is Noted that the baby was in the room at 00:30 and ther was no notes made until 08:00 and a claim that the infant was in the refrigerator How ever he never left the room It claims that we requested him at 11:00 and the infant was wraped in a warm blacket and again I tell you he never was take during the night or that following day. again at 14:00 it states that infant was in the room and again at 15:40. as medical professional I hope I do not have to explain to you why allowing him to be in room temps was bad for the autopsy report. This was a way to alow time to pass and show that the baby was dead for a long period of time. If he would have been allowed a breif time with us and an autopsy performed there would not have been wide spread decay in his body the pooling of blood and the riga that was detected this is a clear and deliberate way to cover there allowing him to die and not saving him. Now in that time that he was in the room with us he we being held 90% of the time as recorded in the records 13:59, 21:30, 00:00, 00:30,14:00, being times that they noted us holding him Infact we both fell asleep with him on us at one time or another and this contributed to the misleading autopsy report and findings. Due to our body temps raising his and speeding up the decay prosess. The autopsy report is false in oth ways as well. at 00:30 I went to find a nurse to get clean clothing for our son. His body was covered in blood and feses. I could not find a nurse so I ended up cleaning him my self I cleaned the hard poop that was Black on his bottom and I cleaned all the Blood from His umbilical cord I only had one wash clothe and there for cleand both area the best I could with it. When cleaning the cord there was no lumps or cuts in the section that was left on his body. There for the part that had the cut in it was with the placenta. The Placenta was never sent to Michigan State University as requested and The hospital was sited for not doing so in the investigation. My point being How did they come up with the unbilical cord thromboise and ompahlecel. I asked Doctor Collins during the meeting about the umphacele and he stated there was partical of bowel found on the umbilical cord. as for the torsion an thrombois he did not want to talk about it. Doctor Larry Young Stated that the cut on the cord may have been cause by the figer nails of the baby. how ever later claimed he never told my wife and I that an there was no cut on the cord. Yet the Records indicate a 20% tear. progress record 07/16/00 10:5? am Doctor Larry Young *noted Cord ? 20% tear & Thrombois Can't make out the Rest of that Note Physicians Obstetrical Discharge summery Sign by Doctor nguyen and doctor Young excludes the 20% tear also. Michigan State Universty Cytogenetics laboratory Specmen intake form Larry Young Possible IUGR Thrombois Noted on cord and Umbilicas Note again no tear report but this time refers to two thrombois. And again Doctor Nguyen was not in the delivery at all. she was not present just Kimberly Oslund and Doctor Young. Yet the Records would indicate that Nguyen was present at the birth. The hospital bill also indicates that she was there charging twice for the delivery. That is Fraud. and another Felony .This also present a problem with Blood Why was her fluids Clear as indicated in the Records If the cord was torn there for blood would have to come out of a major bood supplie then why was her fluids not Red or pink I will tell you why the tear was done after his birth. Get a hose and turn the water on it and cut a 20% cut into the hose it will leak every time. Why was this not Reported in the autopsy report any where. I will tell I was there when he was born I did not see the cord cut I did not see any thing until the baby was cut loose from the placenta. Doctor Young held him up to me the first time I ever seen him He was Pink and doctor Young also showed me his cord and the cut in the cord. It was a strait clean cut. He was pink. This two things tell me that his cord was cut and he had a heart beat. However when I made a complaint the the State of Michigan the investigator again stated that my claim was unsubstaniated looking at the record and noting the Apgar Scores and the Dr. Stated that it was clear that the baby was dead. I Mad the complaint that not one person stuck a stethiscope on the baby to check for a heart beat. I was telling them that the Apgar scores were wrong and that they was false. in the Progress Records it was recorded 0'0'5 apgars. Labor & delivery Summery Kimberly A Oslund 1Minute 00000 5minuts 00000 These Reports are false due to never being done and were is Dr.Nguyen's Apagar scores for him I Notice she has signed for doing every thing else? I Have found that where ever it is important to put something to say he is dead they have done. How ever when the State asked Dr.Young if he stuck a stetiscope on Zack he avoided the question by saying it was odvias he was dead. So his answer was No he did not do Apgar scores at 1 Minute or five minutes as recorded making the Apgar scores a false record which is tampering, altering and placing misleading information in the records which is a Felony. Fetal montator stripps Record Vital signs Kimberly A Oslund 09/16/00 09:00 Toco Q2 60-90 strong kao This record is false due to a monitor strap was never applied and no monitor strip found in the records that recorded any monitors were used. I checked to see if there was another way to get such a reading and was told that it requires the belly belt hooked to a monitor in the birth of our twins I was given a section of the monitor stripps that showed the toco on it which was the contractions and heart rate of the mother as well it recorded the heart rate of both the twins. Now we Know and we were told they were sorry for not monitoring my wife. yet the record indicate she was monitored, again a false record. Tampering to show something that was not done. Missleading information Why Some would say Why don't you give up let it go and I say No. I have Five Girls, 21year old that served a year in Iraq a tomboy of sorts and has a respect for her country. I have a 19 year old that is a girly girl and works hard at a job she hates. I have a 9 year old that said were is brother for a long time she was two when he was born, and I have twins that don't even know about Zack. My wife wants one More I don't she wants a boy. You know I wanted a boy I wanted to carry on the name I am the last in our blood line All the rest have girls or can't have any more kids I am it the last Johnson. These people took my boy who will they take from You a son a daughter maybe grand children I want help to stop it now. The laws were writen to protect us and in this case it did nothing but helped them get away with a murder. Yes I feel it was a murder. I want my day in court I want the laws changed to protect the people they were meant to protect This is only part of it I can go on and on. like the pathology report on the placenta and the cord not showing a thing wrong but that is another day all involved Genesys Reginaol Medical Center Doctor Larry J Young Now working a Hurley Doctor Phan Nguyen Grand Blanc Genesys Doctor Dana Snell Texas Kimberly A Oslund RN Now divorce and changed name ?? I am an anesthetist in Liberia and we process some equipment with bleach for disinfection. The CDC recommends 5.25% solution for this, but the solution we have here (supposedly) is 18%. I can do the math to make a 5.25% soln, but we have no actual docs that say it's 18% and there is some question whether the manufacturer is watering it down. How can I determine approx concentration?
